hmm, intriguing.
Seems different from your other stuff
I'm too lazy right now to go back and make sure that statement is accurate
I like it.
This will be worth watching the development.

When I saw the sketch, I was pretty sure that you were drawing Dexter Morgan, but now watching the progress I can tell he isn't. Still a very impressive work. I'd like to see it finished soon.

Not a fan of that black shadow on his chin, looks like he burnt it.

THAT HAIR.
It's beautiful...
The black shadow is from the apple, and in the reference picture I used, I do see what you mean though. Thanks for the feedback everyone

Looked better in the previous version if I'm honest. specially the right side of his face (and lip).

I thought so too, but I saw a difference in the proportions in comparison to the picture, so I couldn't resist. I obsess over some things a little too much

I have been meaning to comment on this. Very nice progress so far. I like it.
The one before this last up date is my favorite so far. The side with the shadow seems to have more depth. The Newest WIP seems more flat on that shadowed side and on the chin.
I flattened out the side with shadows a bit because the value wasn't accurate to the picture, I thought I had overdone it a bit. I'm gonna add some of it back, since both of you mentioned it looked better. Thanks for the input everyone, it is just what I needed

It looks really good, very nice use of color and shine, kinda looks like a 3d render.
You now you don't need to update on this picture every single day with wips though, right?
the last three posts have looked largely the same just with some minor tweaks. It makes more sense to post when you need help or when you've gotten significant amounts done. but that's just me.
more on the face, and finishing with the hand, any better?

thanks man, been working really hard on this one. Haven't done a portrait in like, 5 years, so its taking a little longer than usual. Seriously though man, that means a lot, thanks.

You should probably work on the chin area...
How long have you spent on this so far?
