Just bought my Journey concert ticket. If you plan on going, it might not be a bad idea to get it now, just in case ticket prices go up, or it sells out.

I don't think she'll be sober for the concert haha. We're planning on staying downtown that night and taking the light rail. Parking at the amphitheater sucks donkey balls.

So here's what I have on the list of planned events:

Friday Sept 30, 5:30 - 10:00pm: The Great American Beer Festival @ Denver Convention Center
These tickets sell out fast, so you'll wanna get them ASAP. They go on sale June 30th.
There's usually a bunch of splintered after-parties you can go to after the festival but nothing really planned.

Saturday Oct 1, mid-afternoon (TBD): Hang out around Larimer Square.
There's plenty of food, shopping, bars, etc here and it's located in the Denver Historical District for people wanting to take in some sights. Well probably end up eating at Maloney's Tavern or something.

Saturday Oct 1, 7:00pm - ???? @ Comfort Dental Center (or as we locals call it, Fiddler's Green)
Journey will be preforming with Foreigner and Night Ranger. If you want to hang out with the group we're planning on getting tickets for the upper field (it's an outdoor venue). The grass has no assigned seating so it's much easier to get everyone together. Tickets are on sale now, the field is selling at $33.50 right now, or $30.50 each of you do the 4-pack.

These 3 main events are all accessible via the Light Rail system for anyone who doesn't want (or is too drunk) to drive. There's plenty of other free things to take in around here like Red Rock's park in Morrison, Heritage Square in Golden (rides cost money but admission is free), etc. People usually get small groups together to do some of the touristy stuff like that. Downtown is loaded with museums and such as well.

I want to go drinking with this group.

We need more drunks to come along and get drunk.

If I have the correct amount of paid time off from work, and all hell doesn't break loose regarding old people in my family, I will try my damndest to come.

I propose we hold some sort of contest. Could be anything. Eating, pissing, shots, beer chugging, etc.

I hope that it ends up being a more abstract contest, though. For example: A contest where you have to go the whole weekend without shoes. Or perhaps you cannot say anyone's name the entire weekends. I guess It's starting to sound a little bit like a game of kings, but who cares, we're hitting up the beer festival anyways.

This is such a hard choice for me....Attend the barbecue, bourbon, and beer festival in north carolina in August with friends from work....or attend the Beer festival in sept/oct with ngers.

It's a this or that choice because I don't have enough paid time off to do both.

not sure, the removal of the beer fest leaves a fairly big hole on the plans... I think some sight seeing could be done, or some Video Gaming, or even MTG or something that could go with drinking somewhere not being in a bar
