I'm strongly considering going to this meet.
Also, this meet will be during my last days of eligibility for the 27 club...
No, I am not going to kill myself after the meet.
Ok, so since I'm only 19, should I get there after the beer festival? I'm strongly thinking about going to this meet-up.
So I heard about the Alternative to the beerfest... going to it! i'll bring beer & rum >:D

Well I'm def not going, since I'm moving to California this winter. Will go next year though, 100% sure.

That means you'll be living closer to me!
Feel free to come visit BC when you get the chance.

Make it happen
If you actually do that near the end of July I will come :)
Psychogoldfish made a post on the event page in FB, and didn't post it here...
I'm pasting what he wrote:
"SO beerfest tickets were gobbled up in a mere 3 days by scalpers. If anyone REALLY wants to go you can still get plenty of overpriced tix on StubHub, but as it stands it's off the official agenda.
If anyone is still planning on coming out shoot me a message, we may throw our own beerfest if there's enough interest."

I might. I dunno. Gotta kinda work the toronto meet around this denver meet..
only got so much money to blow on things I suppose. What events did you have planned besides beer? I don't really like to go anywhere and JUST drink. I like sightseeing as they tend to be my vacations.

not sure, the removal of the beer fest leaves a fairly big hole on the plans... I think some sight seeing could be done, or some Video Gaming, or even MTG or something that could go with drinking somewhere not being in a bar

guys, i had to postpone starting my job and possibly pissing off my new boss so i could be able to be at denver meet.
more peeps need to go so we can have awesome fun super cool time, yes?
Okay, so with the Great American Beer Festival being sold out, I wasn't sure exactly what to do with the meet. I have plenty of ideas of what we could do, but it's really going to come down to how many people will be coming... who will have cars, etc etc etc...
First, I am thinking about throwing my own beerfest at my house for anyone 21 and over. Anyone who wants to come will be expected to chip in $20 or so to cover all the beer and food, and I'm only giving a certain number of people my address just to keep things under control. This would likely be an all-day party on Sept 30th with early birds getting a bonus trip with me to Tipsie's (a really fucking big liquor store) to help pick out the brews we will showcase at the "event".
Those lucky bastards that get in to the party will also be treated to my culinary prowess as I plan on making a bunch of beer infused foods and grilling plenty of meat.
As for Saturday (Oct 1), I really think doing the coors brewery tour would be fun. If we end up with over 15 people I'll need to make a reservation, so if anyone wants to do that I'll be expecting an RSVP pretty soon, otherwise you can find your own entertainment for that chunk of the day.
We'll probably still hang out either at Larimer Square or the 16th Street mall most of the day, so food and bar hopping are still on the books. There's still tickets available for anyone wanting to come to the Journey concert that night. I'd recommend grabbing a transit pass too so you can take the lightrail and not worry about driving/parking.
On Oct 2 if anyone is still hanging around, we could drive up to Lakeside Amusements. It's a really old amusement park that hasn't changes all that much since the 70's... it's a nice little trip back in time and it's pretty cheap. It's a $2 admission (I think) and then you just buy tickets for rides like any carnival. If you want to go to this you'll have to find a ride, so now is a really good time for anyone who's serious about coming to let us know so you gus can figure out who you'll be riding around with.
I guess I should start with a list of people attending:
PsychoGoldfish
Luis
Merlin
Jay
Jade
Pikanjo (presumably)
altr (unless he's dead)
Onic (it's worth the trip just to watch this man drink)
I'm sure other non-NG people will show up too, but who cares about those losers.
Hotel party (I'm probably coming and I may be able to afford a hotel)
If you can't afford a hotel we have lots of bridges you can sleep under.

If I don't go to Toronto, then I'll most likely be going to this one.
Still, nothing is certain at this point.
