fuck no, if there is any more DBZ shit im going to kill somebody. Tip = Clouds aren't round, people aren't made out of sticks. The effort you've put into this looks extremely minimal.

I'm sure there is heaps of anime animation tutorials and guides and things like that. I'd say the problem is finding it because when you search anything anime related on the internet your flooded with tons of bad, shitty, clique drawings and hentai crap.

'cheap tricks that look awesome and takes minimum time'

I said earlier that this thread is not really a place for crits, rather 'practice'
Meaning, time spent becoming better, in this case, regarding animation.
The quote above is saddening in it's complete antithesis of what this thread
is about. That would be my crit

I suggest if it is imagined the point of DBZ is to spend 3 minutes making
something woefully rubbish then please start a thread possibly titled
'cheap shit no effort dbz anims'

As much as I love the art form, it is possible to take cartoon characters too seriously.

that would depend on their tone of voice Pbass

I'm not going to let one person dictate what type of anims are posted in the thread, therefore I think I'll make a few more just to spite you ;).

Response to Animation Practice!? 2010-12-27 13:07:34

I kind of expected that

no shit, sherlock. Guess ill just spend a whole day drawing to perfection to test some movement then. Tip: stop being a fag.

@mickharris: keep you upper teeth static. Seriously, dont lecture ppl, you are annoying. Hey! you are supposed to be an animator, think you can make one of those anime fight loops? id really like you to make one, honestly!

Back to manga animation and fight scenes...well, ive tried searching youtube and google for how japanese do it or any reference but there was anything useful, id really like to know how those guys make their shit

^ Practice makes perfect. These little sketches, loops, rough drawings.. all of these matter.

Mick I don't think that animation you posted earlier very well justifies you calling the shots on what animation really is. the "Houses" or whatever that was. It looked like a bunch of cardboard cutouts.

Response to Animation Practice!? 2010-12-27 22:01:23

Great. this is the community we love, sorrounded by fags and douches. Specially mextrify who is probably made of pure crap. I feel just like home

This is dedicated to whoever said he didnt like stick figures nor DBZ

now cut the crap and keep postin doodles and practices

Haha, some practice examples were really nice. This practice was made some time ago. It's a skeleton for an animation I was trying to do.

Mick has more right to say what animation is than anyone who has posted in this forum.

It's Mexifry, you should really just go and make your 'cheap shit no effort dbz anims' thread.

hey guys animation is supposed to be moving drawings, be it DBZ or stickmen. ITS ALL ANIMATION.

Response to Animation Practice!? 2010-12-29 05:26:19

Going to find my tablet and make an animation...

Response to Animation Practice!? 2010-12-29 06:30:48

Honestly i liked when this thread was about practicing, not about what is or isnt considered animation.

Who cares, its practice and experimentation. I dont really mind people having an opinion on it, but share it and move on. I'd hate for this thread to become a debate on broad issues like the 'decline' of animation as an art form or cheap tricks or whatever. Just let people let their hair down and playyy

Here are some ants from a game that will never get finished (: I don't have anything new to post but this thread seems to be getting a bit angry...

I don't really like animating by separating the body parts and tweening but it seemed the more logical way to do it. The walk cycle annoys the shit out of me too, but I can't do anything about it now because Flash isn't installed on my new PC.

Sure its animation, but its not animation that's beneficial toward artistic growth.
IMO if you made something and you haven't learned from it, you are wasting your time.

Artistic growth on newgrounds.

yeah i know right i mean i can't expect people to try right.

haven't seen someone try on here in a while.

But dude you cant force people to develop talent, you cant force them to grow artistically, it makes you seem like a huge douche bag.

nobodies forcing anybody to do anything. it was just a comment. practice should be to improve yourself. people should be trying to grow out of making badly animated stick figures and move on. read books on it, start working harder. i dont get why you guys are so mad the animation just wasnt good. and you guys are turning it itnto something huge. everybody move on.

you remind me of how i acted a year or two ago. if somebody didnt like something shitty i made it get pretty defensive over it when really you dont need to. everybody get over themselves.

There's a fine line between constructive comments and arrogance.
