Shit mick! the art work here is extremely good. I wasn't really expecting something so good because all the other animations you've posted have just been sketched and less polished.

this may be a little too polished to be considered practice but really it
is far from refined. I began practicing shape tweens and masks and I
needed something to 'appear' kind of... so I decided to make a house appear
anyway... hope it fits in the thread and please bare in mind that I am by
no means a singer

After viewing this thread I decided to do the 'animate a bouncing ball' thing.

Don't think I did half bad.

If only animating other things was this easy. I get so caught up in trying to figure out how to animate a certain movement or to plan out a scene it overwhelms me and I end up doing nothing at all. :(

I think Corbine, the point is to enjoy the process
Flash animation in a professional capacity can and
often IS a complete horror show... animation however
for it's own sake should be fun. It looks like you actually enjoyed
making the blobbery ball bounce about

Oh yes I did. And then after your post decided on trying again with something else. :)

Had even more fun doing this. Except on the lower body, that got me stumped a bit. Can't pose my lower body too easily while I sit and draw, but oh well. :D

So this sequence is unfinished.. i think there are a few obvious screw ups in there, mostly with timing. Also, more inbetweens are going to be added, and perhaps shadows/highlights. That is, if I feel like abandoning the simple/minimalist feel :p

That was really boring. It seemed like you wanted an ominous creepy vibe but it dragged on for far too long, and turned into boredom.

I understand where you're coming from as far as "boring" goes, but why would I use soft, light blue colors if I were going for ominous and creepy? If I cared whether or not people thought this was boring (which is entirely dependent on the audience itself), it would've been put in the flash portal :o haha

The purpose of this practice was to begin studying liquid movement in a calm, abstracted way, using time distortion to shed light on some of the things that move too fast for us to appreciate the true dynamics of in realhfkdzc. Isn't animation all about exaggeration, after all?

That's really cool and looks good. You need to keep it wobbling for longer though.

The pupils and eyebrows look fine tweened but the mouth doesn't look right, mouths don't just move around the face like that, when a mouth moves is shape and angle changes.
