I say thats a great idea, however, in my opnion, I say we need more average animators to do something like that, if I were to do it, I would only invite like 3-4 people from here or something, maybe next time, even if thats far away, we can get more organized and do so

The only issue with that, is that we actually assign parts by time ... so it's not like "just make a part and we squeeze it in" ... it's the opposite ... it's "squeeze a part into a time frame".

That said, you guys seem pretty psyched ... and sound like a few of you may be wanting to make parts based on the theme regardless of being on the list.

This would be nice to start up my flash practice again its been so long. I'm pretty sure I'm qualified if I'm still allowed to join.

Just to be clear ...

When I mentioned the possibility of "working extra submissions in" ... I didn't mean into the main movie of the collab. Obviously, that would not work, with the timing of the song and the planning involved with the parts.

If additional parts are made (not from the listed artists), they'll posted into a "fanart/b-sides" extras section. Remember ... if they're ridiculously bad, I can't add them. So that's the trade off :P That said, making a part in 24 hours is no small feat ... so we'll see how many of these extra parts we get.

To all who were listed, those on standby, and those who are thinking of submitting regardless ...

In my experience, the best way to do it, is to stay up til it's announced, think on it, sketch something (if you can), sleep on it ... and awake refreshed and ready to go!

then again, it depends on how hardcore you are.

I'd have to say "No..." as that would be unfair to the folks who knowingly spent their entire day animating ... now... if they're part was complete and utter shit or they simply bailed ... then I'd imagine we could sub in a part ... but that's not the official word.

Namely two collab skits to be completed before the end of October. No better time than the present. I wish the 12 animators luck. Make the Collaboration Forum proud.

i know i've got my NOS energy drink ready to go and im about to blaze some trails!

a few extra details - since the song was hard to cut up - some of the pieces are larger than others and i sort of just picked based on the style of the animator paired up with the sound of the part - - i hope i did an alright job - - the seconds arent exact but it should be pretty obvious where the parts should stop and start - - most if not all the switches are on the beat.

I can't put the song in itunes! I don't have the proper rights or something!
