The Dates

Sign up - Say you are IN and willing to participate by Sunday, June 6th, 11:59 NG (US Eastern) Time.

Teams Selected - Immediately following that, like right at midnight and probably on Stickam, so check the Art Group Activities Thread if you want to watch!

From then, you have until Holy Hell! July 9th, 11:59 PM, just in time for. . .

THE THEME! - provided by Sockembop, and inspired by Mindchamber's contest it's ROBOTS!
(don't let this discourage you from participating in the real robot day, this will be great practice, and probably help you out on your robot day piece if you plan on making one)

What is a doubles showdown? - You and a randomly selected partner (out of a hat . . . seriously) will collaborate on a single art piece, dividing up the work however you decide.

Rules:
- All normal Art Forum and NG BBS Rules apply
- You have to have some art up for viewing to be allowed to join, and it has to be decent. (not spectacular, but it has to show some effort so you wont let your partner down)
- A decent art program is a must, use something you both agree on or mix if it works.
- Both artists MUST contribute, and give a description of how the work was split up when you submit.
- You need to have a way to contact your partner, whether it be by the NG PM system, or you can send them your IM, e-mail, etc.
- If your partner doesn't respond relatively soon, you can be put in a re-pool.
- PM me if you are having trouble contacting your partner after a few days.

Most Important: DON'T CRAP OUT ON YOOUR PARTNER! - Seriously, if you are in, be ready to actually participate! if you fail your partner without legitimate reason, you won't be able to be in the next Doubles.

A little disappointed that the theme is robots, because of Robot day coming up.
I was hoping for something a little different, this theme seemed just too obvious and unoriginal =P

I am also disspointed with the theme... I'm not sure if I want to participate in this, can I be the odd number guy for this round?

Yeah, I know. If I knew so many people would be disappointed with the theme i wouldn't have suggested it is all. Some people seem to be excited at least... I know I'm pumped to participate regardless of the theme.

It's not that I don't like the them, I'm just shit at them, I also have to much on my self inflicted plate atm, and end of school

I don't really do "futuristic" very well, so I may regret saying this, but I'm in. There's always the possibility to make a creative twist, I just have to hope I get paired with someone who's up for that.
