Also, I played R.U.S.E. It's pretty boring and basically all the missions are the same but in different areas. And I swear that the Colonel guy is the fat guy who sounds gay from Peep Show, which makes it hard to take seriously. But yeah, I'm quite disappointed by it, was hoping for a lot more, but in some ways I kind of expected it, if that makes sense.

And you only get about 5 or 10G for the achievements which take some time to obtain, so it's really not worth the time or effort.

I really can't bring myself to play You're in the Movies, all I'm using the borrowed camera for is sending my friends pictures of my genitals. Seriously.
Also, playing Dante's Inferno whilst constantly switching between PC and TV screens is fucking irritating.
Finally, Reach and Red Dead are just dying under the weight of terrible Disney films, and F:NV is just too dull to grab my attention.

Dragon Age 2 is pretty generous with the points, I think I'm about halfway through with a little over 500. That said, I won't be getting the 1,000 because some seem to be tedious, namely "beat the game twice" or "start a new game and reach "x" with 3 unique characters" cheeves, I mean, why?

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't enjoying it, the game itself is just mindless fun. Combat is mostly just mashing attack and spamming skills whenever their off cooldown. While it's true that I'm also playing through it on the easiest difficulty right now if I played on a harder difficulty I'd only have to mash & spam harder taking small breaks to chug potions so I can continue to mash and spam for the full length of each encounter. Boss fights don't change strategy much, things just get a bit more hectic and MAYBE somebody in your party gets temporarily knocked out if you forgot to bring a healer or you're just bad.

The best part of the game is the dialogue and story (IMO) but it's too bad they make it less ambiguous this time around. Morality/attitude choices are always clearly marked, as long as you know "blue is 'diplomatic'", "purple is 'sarcastic'" and "red is 'aggressive'" you can craft Hawke's persona as you wish. I suppose it's up for debate whether that's a poor design choice though, some people might appreciate having their hand held, at least you'll never accidentally select the wrong dialogue option. Companion in-fighting still leads to a lot of interesting problems so that keeps it interesting. That is, unless you strategically leave members out of your parties who would have undesirable reactions to your choices, as long as they're not present when you're making the choice it has no impact on their opinion of you further taking the risk and reward away from making careful dialogue choices which really is a shame.

It's a shame that an RPG which revolves around it's story and interaction would make it so you don't ever have to make a real decision, there's always a way to convenient escape the consequences of your choices if you're crafty enough to find it.

tl;dr:

I got like 500ish points in Dragon Age 2. I expected more from BioWare, I don't see why this game/series is so popular.

If you plan on buying Mafia 2, don't yet. They are releasing a special edition will all the expansions for £20 soon.

First Dragon Age was a lot better. Two is just a capped version of it. The Exodus one isn't that bad. The different classes change the game a fair bit so it doesn't really seem as annoying as it sounds. I admit, I liked DA2, but it's a step down with the RPG-ness of DA:O. KInda like the jump from Mass Effect 1 to 2. But Mass Effect 2 was a lot better.
