Hi, I post this image in the art section, and some one say it is not art and the image was deleted. I made this model in 3dmax 8 following blueprints and pictures for reference. I made the textures in photoshop. Is a 3d model for a game. It is not art?

nah I don't think it classifies as art, it's more like a screenshot of some 3D program.

Ahh, I take this comment back, sorry. I had a better look at the game, and I've got a feeling this is a home made model.

Yes, it is a ingame screenshot. But is an Addon I made. I can provide images and renders of 3dmax. And yes, is for RailSimulator.

What of it did you create yourself? You have made a model "from blueprints". I'm having a hard time with this one. It would be a totaly different thing if you've designed your own train.
Its not art to build a real train from blueprints either.

Im not sure. This is a very difficult question. I'm just thinking out loud.
Sure is a difficult cuestion. I do not use my imagination for the general shape, I must admit, but I use my imagination to put every poligon in place, and in the UV unwrapping, and in the photoshop work. I put here another picture, a render of a early work in progress.
