Alluminum Casted Newgrounds Tank

Hi, I'm new to the forums, and I didn't know where this should go, so I put it in art since this was made In Metal Arts. Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

It has taken me a few months to make, I probably started this in March and just finished it today. It is by no means perfect, as I can see numerous flaws in my own product. Even with these, I have spent lots of time and effort to try and make it accurate and the quality good.

My project was constructed from a Styrofoam mold of the whole tank minus the gun barrel, and I used a petrobom (don't know how to spell, oil + sand) lost cast mold with molten aluminum to create the main body. As for the gun barrel. I put that on a lathe to fix up. Some iron wool to clean up the main body with some epoxy and krazy glue to hold it all together. I made the original Styrofoam mold from two pictures of tank awards and intuition of sizing. I just wanted to share this =] Enjoy!

meh, it's okay, improve it by making it sleek and shiny, I know it can be difficult with aluminium casting since I did alot of it at secondary school, but if you can produce something like that it'll definitely be something to show off.

I like the beaten up weathered metal part of it. I wish the barrell was also distressed. It looks weird to have that be stainless steel.

Looks damn good. I'm no good at sculptures, so I'll just stick to drawing and Photoshopping : )

Yea i cut my self already just getting metal together i needed 7 stiches...

do you think it'll be allowed? I mean there is a rule against posting photos in the new Art Portal, I dunno if there are any exceptions or anything.

It can be pictures of painting, sculpture etc. , it just cant be pictures of say you and your friends hanging out or something.
