Bare minimum, a pedo is going to look at pics of children. That's bare minimum. Hopefully he can do a decent job of resisting his urges. But that's not likely. If your brain is wired to take pleasure in something that's taboo, it's not a question of "if" a person will act on their urges. It's only a question of "when."
I'm saying pedophile's have to realize what they're doing is wrong, when they look at pics. They should know that those children are being abused. Also, pedophile, by definition, is an adult who is sexually attracted to young children. That doesn't mean they're rapists. Again, it's like saying homosexuals or heterosexuals are also rapists, by default, and they look at illegal pornography. (I know for pedophiles it doesn't matter what type of child pornography they look at.)
As for a pedo's human rights, those have to be weighed against the rights of children to be safe from potential sexual predators. Pose that question to a parent, and your going to get one response. They're not going to give a damn about the rights of a pedo. Registered sex offender moves into their neighborhood... They're going to harass his ass until he moves out. (And perhaps even worse than that). That's just realistic. I recently became an Uncle. I can't even image what I'd do if some pervert even touched the hair on the head of my nephew or niece. (In the old days, they'd take the perv up to the top of a neighborhood building, and toss him off the roof. Just how it was).
Do you have proof that tossing them off buildings was commonly done, at whatever time period you're referring to?
If a pedo is a potential sex predator, then again, a homo or a hetero is also one, unless you have proof. That also means anyone is a potential murderer or thief, regardless of their personality.
Hey, I have a brother myself, who's only 13. If a pedo rapes him, I'd be very furious, and also think of having his head on a stick, because of how angry I'd be feeling at the time. However, I wouldn't wanna let my anger get the best of me. The rapist is a person, too. If I get to understand him, his life, his behavior, he may even be a sympathetic person. Watch The Woodsman, Mysterious Skin, and/or Little Children, and you'll hopefully know what I mean. They may be fictional movies, but they're made to be realistic. Even if my brother was only sexually harassed, like having his hair touched, I wouldn't kick the perv's ass, unless he posed a bigger threat. I'd call the police, and make sure he doesn't escape, somehow.
Oh yeah, it's definitely an easy way out. But few folks would lose sleep over it. Society is never going to be more open about the issue, because society is by & large made up of parents. Just how it is. And it's far from likely that it'll ever change.
Well, I don't know about that. If and when I become a parent, I wouldn't wanna be close minded. Of course, I'd worry about the safety of my children, but I wouldn't become a vigilante or anything like that.
