Fixed.

A parasite takes from it's host.

Isn't a symbiotic relationship where both organisms profit from it? A parasite is where the parasite profits from it, and the host suffers (not necessarily a lot, but still).
Cool theme though

Actually: wikipedia says quote: "The symbiotic relationship may be categorized as being mutualistic, parasitic, or commensal in nature..... Others define it more narrowly, as only those relationships from which both organisms benefit, in which case it would be synonymous with mutualism"

I like that were responding at the same time here, really in sync

W.I.P

Haven't thought of a name yet. Just did a massive session and thought time for a break and also i'd post for some feedback. Especially since I can't seem to get the shading right. =(

But overall I'm quite happy with it so far.

Your light source looks like its shining down on the objects... So the light is on top and the dark is on the bottom. You got it upside down....

Actually, I think that that is just the coloring of the snake. On the shoe, the shading is right. On the snake, I don't think there really is any shading yet.

Oh...

I forgot to say I like the texture you got going on there...now you have to texture the shoe somehow to make the whole image flow...

No. DooDooMeaT is right. If one part of an object is darker than the other, then it's shaded.

Actually it was supposed to just have a lighter underbelly. I haven't shaded the creature yet. =D

Errr, many creatures actually are (fish and birds primarily) lighter from below and darker from above.
It's a type of camouflage

also, the shadow on the ground doesn't match the shadow on the shoe, nice piece otherwise. Maybe tilted wooden floor makes it look a little weird... the shoe is in perspective, the floor is top-view

Can I draw a parasite on a human?

Or is there never any humans allowed, including in the picture with the COW?

Don't worry guys, you can draw them on a human. It's just that the focus has to be on the creature, and the creature itself can't be human like.

Oh goody, I get to post the first WIP.
Uh, yeah...I know I kinda forgot the no "existing animals" rule and went overboard with the beetle-likeness. Whoopsie.

plz no disqualification?

Anyhow, this is the Chromatore. Take a guess which organism it uses as a host?

Detail shot of the head.
I plan to have all the plates with the same bark pattern.

And don't forget the symbiosis fact, that means both parties, (the parasite & the host) gain something from the link. <--- This fact scrapped my idea for a ubermonstrousclichéhuman ^^

Sure, we all share one thing. We will all die sooner or later. Thank god.
