I would like to see an author's section added to the site. Let it have Flash tricks and techinques so us non-publishers can learn to use Flash and make games. I would also like to see an upgrade to the audio portal, it really needs some attention.

Oh yeah... Speaking of improvements, what ever happened to the guys at DK Project?? What happened to them? Their website is dead and there are no updates anywhere.

Hm... I guess you guys could maybe select some tough games or something and if users beat the game or get a suggested highscore they get "Experience Bonus". I think that would be a great addition to the site.

update the Netwerk ;p
I got a few sites you could add who deserve traffic, such as KrankZinnig Studio... I'd suggest my site 'coz it's also Vazz's site but that'd make me seem big headed.

I WOULD LIKE TO SEE FREE PORN!!!

Response to NG 2004 2003-12-28 18:52:42

I've thought through this over the last few days, and I've come out with a couple of good ideas, and most likely, a lot of bad ones too.

1. Get rid of the porn ads. They'll turn people away...

2. Update the error pages, and the Chat Lit etc. sections.

3. I agree with the idea to have more than one portal. It will give newcomers a chance to put they're work up and be judged seperatly from the amazing flash.

4. P2P wouldn't work because mainly someone may decide to backward-engineer it to spread virus' or send a command to the NG servers to delete every thing... (I'm very pessimistic...) Other wise its a very good idea!

5. A pay account probobly would work. But not everyone would want to pay. Keep the free ones just in case the pay ones backfire.

6. Edit and preview functions for the BBS.

Well thats all I got right now.

i would seriously like all the movies that were whistled to be delt with, I've blown the whistle a billion times yet my whistle level still remains normal. I would also like to see HOW MANY whistle points a user has and how many more are needed to get to the next level added to user profiles

A cool feature would also be being able to respond to an author's response to your review; the reviewers deserve the last word.

Another would be telling a user how many more blams/saves are needed to get to the next rank.

To get more people to go to the audio portal I suggest you add another counter on the profile. What I mean is when you view another users profile it will say favourite flash movie, favourite artists, reviews available and BBS posts by etc. You should have something about number of audio downloaded on the user profiles. I dont know just a thought. For example download 100 and thats 10 experience points or something. I dont know, Its your site Tom do whatever you want :)

There hasn't been alot of updates for the collections and series, there are a shitload of Clock Crew cartoons missing, as well as a few Pico cartoons that I've seen in the NG Parody section but not in the Pico section.

Response to NG 2004 2003-12-29 00:14:35

I don't know if this has been already said because i've just joined in, but this is something, if implemented, would be a great feature, and it would also be something none of the copycat sites have. Read on.

It would be great to have a feature that allows established authors, say, flash authors with a Batting average of 3.50 and above to be able to reserve a number of flash movie names each month.

For example - established author is making a movie that he wants to put on NG. He reserves the name in advance so that...how can i put this politely...no other unexperienced flash author can churn out a flash movie and use the name.

It sounds weird, but trust me, i am an established flash author with a high batting average (under the name AGandPJ) and there have been so many times that i have tried to put my movie on NG to find the name has already been taken by a not-very-good movie, and so i've had to go back and rename the flash.

Being able to reserve names in advance is a good idea for experienced flash authors to submit the film with its intended title to Newgrounds.

I myself, would like to see a midget named Jim greet me when i come to my home that is NG

Response to NG 2004 2003-12-29 04:11:33

I know there are a shitload of Clock Crew cartoons that aren't in the Collections page, but I also know that there are so many that it would be very hard to organize. That's why I think the Clock Crew Page should be divided into certain sections to make it easier to organize. You can divide it by the authors, or by certain events like holiday specials, CC parodys, and flashes involving the whole CC.

Also, I think that there should be a collection of clay cartoons like KNOX, and Michael Jackson should be in the Assassin Page, I really HATE that freak.

I would like to see a more strict policy, like moderating reviews & rejecting them for not being constructive, & notorious users who blam (rudely I might add) decent or fairly good flashes left & right put on restriction from posting reviews. (naturally only for a month, but ban them if they don't get their acts straight. Don't pity them, they're flat-out rude & expect everything they watch to turn to gold or they'll trash it.)

Miyumi (who's glad she's too lazy to spend countless hours slaving over a hot Freehand MX only to have some poser tell me to drop dead.)

Ever since I signed onto NG, I've always been interested in the original audio/musical files in the Audio Portal. When I actually started submitting my own audio, I was definitely hooked. The only problem I had with this really fun and free feature to upload audio files was the fact that I couldn't modify or resubmit an audio file I wanted to change maybe because of it uploading a different track that I didn’t mean to upload or there was some typo in the name or description. It's not that big of a deal; but it would be nice however, if there was this option of resubmitting in the Audio Portal like there is in the Flash Portal. I hope this isn't asking for too much, but this is all I ask for the year 2004. Thanks NG staff for an incredible year!!!

make a new portal for short flashes or flashes by newbs that they want advice on. That way, it wouldnt clog the normal portal, and it would encourage a new generation of flash artists

I dont mean to get on your back or anythin, but i think that you should STOP letting people submit flashes, UNTIL all the entries have had 200 votes or more, like Wade posted several Topics ago.

After that is completed, i think you guys should do a massive update on all parodies, collections, etc.

I have seen many Mario parodies that arent listed in the Mario Parodies section, that goes for every single parody there is.

Probably because they get submitted so frequently, but some flashes arent even posted on the website, and they are only every getting a couple of views a year

I know it would be hell puttin up with that Tom, but i think it is a very good idea

I think it would be helpful if you had a search that would allow you to search by score, so if someone only wants to view those with a 3 or higher then they can put that in and have only those in their search results. Also have a small section where people can go to learn how to get what they need to make their own flash animations as well as give some helpful hints. Then more people can submit animations and better quality ones too. Lastly have better patroling for submissions that don't load. I've found a few and they've been around for a long time still and the people who made them haven't fixed them yet.

For the luv of gawd, please ban anything with flashing lights!

1)No one will watch them & they get blammed eventually anyway.

2)They cause seasures.

3)They give nonepiliptc people eye-strain & headaches.

4)It's just plain lazy & annoying.

Oh, my freakin eyes...I hit 3 flashes in a row, unfortunate.... @_@
