Very funny, guys.
I thought it was a good idea and I'm still not convinced otherwise.

Work on some synth patches? Sample some drums? As an electronic producer, you should never have "nothing to do". There's so much you can work on, even when you're feeling no musical inspiration. That's what I love about being an electronic producer.

I took me a minute to realize what that was. At first it looked like a french horn painted red with some plants on it
Sequenced, you're missing an "h" and a ":" in that link in your sig. Just so you know.

writers block doesn't exist. I can write songs one after the other. Why? Don't limit yourself. Listen to everything. Make everything.

I mean, I could just make everything when I experience writers block. But not everything sounds good.

Exactly how I feel about writers block. At a certain point everyone will hit a rut but if you're persistent and you push yourself you'll always find that next song waiting in the ether. Just keep writing. Don't stop writing. Even if it sucks, keep writing. If you can't keep working on a track, STOP. Just start a new track. I can usually tell if a project is gonna go anywhere in the first hour of work. There are days where I start writing three to four separate songs and delete all of them at the end of the day because I'm not happy with them. Persistence. Persistence. Persistence.
Music is ephemeral. Just keep writing. Keep writing. Keep writing.

This is how I get over righters block:
A lot of the time its really just a lack of inspiration. When this is the case its always great to literally just take a break and do other things that you enjoy. With this method, the real trick is to not let your self think about music too much. Eventually, you will be full of hidden surprises, you will just have to farm them.
This is method two, and can also be used right after method one. The method is where you literally just do it. What I mean by this is you stay in your DAW and play around. You could be paying with a melody, some chords, even just sfx. Eventually you will come up with on bar of sound. THIS IS ALL YOU NEED TO GET STARTED! Just force your self to continue! If you just have one bar of melody, try to expand your chord progression. If you have some fancy chord, try to expand on that and make a bass to it.
In conclusion, just don't get stuck in a mental rut of, "I'm uninspired, I'm in a writers block, I don't know what to do." because you can do whatever you want when ever you want!
I hope this ether helps you out right now, or I hope you think this is stupid but then reflect on it later and it helps. I'm rooting for the later rather then the former.

I don't see the problem unless you were playing a 20 Hz sine wave at max volume all the time, only to wake up realizing that your walls are about to collapse.

Lol, my last set of speakers died due to me never turning them off, even at night. So when I bought an expensive monitoring system, I have been taking extra good care of them and am extremely anal about turning them off when they're not in use.
