I think he meant that while it won Daily Feature and Weekly 2nd, he believes that it didn't deserve to win anything above Daily 5th.

For the record, while I really liked it, I do think that the Phillips name played a large part in the high score and praise that it received. There's a certain amount of truth in what some people earlier were saying; once you're a popular and respected artist, people go into your films already expecting that they're going to vote "5" when they come out.

I still think that the NG system is better in combating this systemic bias than many others, but there it is.

why did some stuff that was somewhat good not get into the christmas collections, (ive seen quite a few), yet some crap stuff got in, as well as stuff that shouldn't even be there (eg, blockhead 11)

Ha. I was thinking the same thing. Who the hell recommended Blockhead 11 for the christmas 08 collection? It was submitted a week into 2009 and has absolutely nothing to do with Christmas. Ghostmas is a halloween-holiday-thing.

maybe they mistook the mas for christmas.

and i love how even tho it was late, he didnt bother to change any of the lines to a more present time. (they were all relating to way back in october)

Ehh thats really only half true. when you view a submission by a respected artist you are going to expect more than most others dont you think?

In the end its about being entertained, there's no bias in that.
