Whistle Power!

That's right, all your hard work has paid off! We now award whistle levels in the user profiles!

How do you raise your whistle level? It's easy! Whenever you see a stolen or otherwise unacceptable piece of content on the site, blow the whistle on it (this must be done while the submission is new and the option is available). If the submission is removed, your status will improve.

Similarly, if you read an abusive review and mark it as such, you will be awarded for that as well.

HOWEVER, don't think you can just blow the whistle on everything and get points when you're right. If you flag an item that is found to not break our guidelines, this will adversely affect your whistle rating. Don't let this discourage you! If you do a good job, your whistle level will rise more than it falls.

Some users already have fancy whistles! Congrats! :)

Unrelated note to all nonbelievers... YES, I have been working on a game with Edmund from ThisIsACryForHelp. However, I have a lot of projects on hold this summer while I do the console stuff.

I love he fact that this applies to abusive reviews too. I just hate the fact that fewels on NG will have access to this and probably abuse it. If this should happen I hope that their whistle are taken away from them.

What happens when an illegal movie passes after I blew the whistle on it? Does it mean I lose whistle power still?

Yeah, That has happened a lot before, I'd see something that is stolen, KNOW its stolen, have a link to where they stole it from, tell other people to blow the whistle after giving them the link, and not enough people do so it gets past judgement.

Great idea Tom! I like it when you guys add new things. Hey, who out there has a high level in this new stat? I've seen garbage whistles and normal whistles but not anything higher. Also, how many different levels are there?

i have the gold whistle. with all the outwar links in the review it'll be easy to go up right away. just look at the top 50 and look for outwar links and then go go go

I want Peashy NOW!!! Well, not really. I played someof what was already done and it was quite cool. Some of the characters that Ed's made are simply fucking amazing. It's probably the only game I'm looking forward to at the moment, flash or otherwise.

Well, for one thing, to counter any idiots who now start voting all reviews abusive.

If it's a good review and 5 idiots have voted abusive, it's better for 10 people to have voted helpful as well, so it says 10/15 instead of a pitiful 0/5.
