HOBBIT TOATTLAY
(its my fav book-5 staaaaarz)
A cute little game theme for the game jam. Figured I'd put it up in case people liked it in the game.

lol
This was pleasent
This was a pleasent theme and song here, but you ended it so short, this could have been much better with a more longer and stretched out touch the notes you do have in here is So my advice is to stretch it out you have all the great sounds that make this great but could also use a longer feel to this, nbut overall based on what you have its pretty good great tune.
~~THINGS TO IMPROVE ON~~
Make it longer, it was a tad short i thought.
Thanks for the review... however note that this is a game menu piece and is thus not supposed to be long!
Very short piece but has that effect of making you feel like you are watching the opening to a show and getting introduced to the characters of the story.
The violin gives a nice tender feeling to the song showing that the song is meant for a lighthearted fairy tale styled story or show. Then the drums and flute give the song a bubbly feel to the song. Really sounds nice.
Overall, very lighthearted and good sounding intro piece.

Thanks for the review, SCTE3. :)
I really wanted to capture that feeling of a happy fairy-tale in this piece and I'm glad it at least worked out for you. :D
The song is a bit short, but it creates a very nice "fairytale like" atmosphere nevertheless. I like the strings here a lot. They remind me a bit of the music from "Braid" (a game available on XBL or PSN), which had pretty awesome music.
The only advice I can give you here is to make this song a bit longer. ;)

Thanks for the review, Haggard. The piece is just a quick menu piece that goes over the motif used in the game.
This sounds like the part in the movie where the kid discovers his magical spellcasting powers and starts doing goofy stuff like turn frogs into popcorn and back again. Real nice production values. All the instruments are well used and well mixed. Melody's pretty good, too, in an Elder Scrolls meets Pixar kind of way. I think maybe the bells could use a little bit more reverb, or EQ, or something. I dunno, it's the least organic instrument I'm hearing in the whole piece, so it could use something. But everything else sounds great.
Thanks, Phos. I wanted something that sounded more like a mystical fairy tale music than most of my stuff.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
