Something other than MIDI for once, nice relaxed almost reggae feel

"Great loop."

date: February 21, 2008

I rather enjoyed this loop and thought. "This would make a perfect loop for my flash preview" So, I'm going to use it in my video, I will, of course, give you Credit.

But about the loop itself, great, I like the chord strums. It was great, and as ChaosDragon924 said before me, a little bass/drums couldn't hurt too much. Other than that, great loop.

Great news, I look forward to seeing you preview! Some rainy day, I might go back and arrange this for different instruments - it was just supposed to be a clip, but who knows.

Thank you for your review, I'm glad you like it!

"interesting"

i like the chord progression, but it might be better if you added something else to it (even tho its a sample) like a bass / drums something rhythmic, so the breaks in the chords aren't as glaring.

Author's Response:

I appreciate the advice. I'm kind of a 'less is more' guy, I like letting music evolve and not feel forced into something. I felt after listening to this that there was nothing I could add that wouldn't feel unnatural.

I'm glad you liked it, thanks for the review!

"kind of ok"

it's relaxing
and it could be a good song...
but it was too simple

December 3, 2007

Author's Response:

Relaxing is good, I like relaxing. This is however a sample I posted (hence the simplicity and sparceness) I never intended it to be used alone, but rather to entice someone to have me work for them.
Anyway, thanks for reviewing, take care!

"It's a nice tune."

date: December 2, 2007

It has potential, but it's a little too slow for my liking (the pauses especially). Keep up the good work! Just make the next song flow better.

December 3, 2007

Author's Response:

People keep mentioning pauses, and I can't figure out if they mean where it loops or the breaks in the chords. If it's the loop, that can be removed, the syncopated chords are what give it the style it has. Either way, it was an example I put in the portal a long time ago as one example of what I could do if you wanted me to write for you.
Anyway, thanks for the review!

"wow"

that's really good. The only thing i didn't like was the pauses in it.

December 1, 2007

Author's Response:

I'm guessing you mean the pause when it loops. Just a sample I created to showcase some styles I can write in. Longer pieces will flow better and have some form to them.
But I'm glad you liked it, thanks for the review!
