Hi guys!

So.. I've been playing a little NES games lately and I discovered that Castlevania (a series which I missed here) is an awesome series! Castlevania 1 and 3 are very enjoyable, though they are quite difficult as well, but it's better IMO because it adds to the challenge. Anyways, while playing I noticed right away that both games have some AWESOME songs, Specially Castlevania 3.. so maybe you'll see some more Castlevania remakes in the future.

NO use of MIDIs, as usual. Everything worked out by ear.

For now, enjoy this one!!
Votes and review are GREATLY appreciated! =D

, if you want to hear a awsome OST, listen to the Symphony of the night theme Castlevania, the whole series is great i think, this song is very very close to the original, actually its almost perfect, listen to the Sinking sanctuary version of this song, its in bloodlines, also in one of the GBA ones

You did the remix by ear??? great ear you have xD anyways, the song is great, the instruments are carefully selected and suitable for the synthesizer the essence of a game like Castlevania. This remix deserves respect, good work 5/5

Author's Response:

I've always worked out everything by ear :) It just seems natural to me. I started doing this remakes last year and all the songs I remade have been a very good training, because at first it was kinda hard. I could always do the main theme and the drums with 0 problems, but the harmony and the bass were so difficult for me to figure out.

Also, I try to be very careful about volume levels, so that the sound comes as clean as possible and that both the right and left speakers reach the same volume levels, and everything is balanced.

I'm really glad you appreciate this one =D
And thx A LOT for taking your time to review ^^

Castlevaaaaniaaaa :D I even lost count how many games I played from the series :D
And yes, Castlevania 3 have one of best soundtracks. Try Bloodlines on Sega Genesis (emulate ;P)
Hmm, I even like your remix more than original, cuz I always thought that orig needs some more 'chapel' tune (piano? violin? wtf? ;P) to be good song.

5/5, 10/10, faved&downloaded, thank you ;D

Author's Response:

Yeah, I'm emulating NES. And also played a bit of the GBA one, Aria of Sorrow is it called? I'll get Bloodlines later and try it out.
The instrument which gives that feel and it's a mix of string and piano is called harpsichord. Great instrument for royal / church environments. The only drawback is that it can't sustain notes, but oh well, it still worked out :)

Also, I've also heard the 8-bit version of a Castlevania music CD and it sounds awesome too. Note that I love 8-bit songs :)

Well, thank YOU for your support!! =D
I'm glad you like it ^^
