Hello everyone! =D

I've finally finished this one ^^ . I haven't had enough time to sit on my PC and work this week =P

I would have waited a little more to do this one but a friend of mine asked me to do it now... and here it is :) . I had to use a MIDI again XD. this time for the organ... it was impossible to make the notes on my own. The rest is by ear as usual.

It won't have the magic that the original has because well, you simply cannot top Nobuo Uematsu, let alone his FFIX soundtrack (which is my favorite soundtrack of all the time)... but I think it turned out quite good ^^

Well... I hope you all enjoy! =D

You know, this is actually quite good. Oddly, the whole thing made me think of the wild west when the main riff broke in, like pistols at dawn or something.

Wonderful if a bit,

Overly electronic near the end? Pretty damn good.

Sephirot24 responds:

Yeah. Marvelous song but I think I didn't do it 100% justice. Maybe I'll revise it someday. Thx for reviewing! :)

Brings back memories.

This defenately brings me back to the ole days when I was playing FFIX. Zidane kicked some serious ass. I would've given this song 10 stars had the quality not been so aweful. Work on the quality of your music, other than that, great job.

Sephirot24 responds:

I know that nostalgia is a big factor when talking about videogames. Zidane was a very cheerful main protagonist, which gave most of the game a "happy" mood :)

About the quality, as I said in other reviews, this was one of my 1st remakes and it's true that it's not the best quality, not only the instruments but also how it was arranged in general (specifically instruments and notes' individual volume levels). If you check out some of my newer stuff you'll surely notice big improvements! =)

Anyways, thx alot for reviewing!!
I'm glad it brought back some good memories ^^

Very different sound...

... your remix is almost haunting, while keeping the original power of the piece. It is almost ghostly to me, as if it's the darker side.

I admit I never got this far in the game (I stopped on disc 3), but this is one of my favorite songs from the game, and I love what you've done with it.

Sephirot24 responds:

The organ I used sounds like a female chorus, maybe that's the dark feel to it. But I've been told in many of my songs and remakes that they have a "dark feel" to it, so maybe it's just me that I make dark music =P
You stopped at disc 3? You were very close to finishing the game! CD4 is VERY VERY short! If you like FF in general you gotta play again through it :) FFIX is very special, it has a unique charm, one of the greatest stories, and the most natural love plot.

Anyways, I'm glad you like it =D
Thx for taking your time to review! ^^

i like the orrigional better

the orrigional sounded alot more epic than this. but just hearing the song makes me want to play the game soo badly. too bad the disk that i had is now ruined.

Sephirot24 responds:

I somehow agree with you. The original has a different aura to it altogether. Nobuo is a master musician y'know. Also I made this one when I had just started using FL Studio, and didn't know how to use A LOT of features.. like changing the volume for each individual note, or that too much reverb could cause some buzzing on speakers, and also those electric guitars.. I don't quite like them.

Thanks for your honest review anyways! If you check out some of my newer stuff you'll probably see a big (I hope) improvement in my remixing / composing skills, and my ability to use FL Studio.
