Strawberry Trip [SFPL]

Why the shitty title? Well, simply put, I decided to go on a strawberry festival around 100 km from where I live and ate fresh strawberries to my heart's content (Om nom nom ^ O ^).

The trip to get there had some extraordinarily beautiful sceneries and once I returned home I just felt like creating something that could express what I felt on my journey back.

You can flame me now ;o).

SFaPiL2 responds:

Thanks man! I've been rather busy lately, that's why I haven't been uploading stuff ;oP.

When I'll have time I'll surely go give your stuff a listen :o).

Take care.

YAY!

okay. so purely our of respect for you, i am rating honestly. (although i vote 5 to keep it up there!)
okay... So I ABSOLUTELY LOVE! this riff man... it reminds me of a piano riff i made a few years back.. you are bringing memories back! the flute is wonderful, although its unnatural flow slightly removes some of the believablity. the sitar thing...and the way you twist the pitch, is absolutely fantastic. and i am in love with that to! you beat is a little basic, and YES, it is a brilliant idea... it just has no direction yet. i am considering toying with this comp if you dont mind... well just making some additions with my keyboard lol.. i am not quite so fancy as you with your demos lol. but yes. i love it. but because it is not finnished (in my opinion) i cant vote it asthough it was. :D:D:D you take care! and work on this master piece a little more! certainly dont abandon this idea. because its excellent :D:D:D thanks!

SFaPiL2 responds:

Agreed, my beat is a bit skimpy... I'm always a minimalist when it comes to percussions. Must change this.

True about the missing direction... my biggest problem is that I get lost half way during a song when I make it (I usually don't have a structure in my head when I start).

Oooh, I'm curious to listen to one of your ideas. Toy with it all you like. It might give me some ideas (if I can manage to recreate it in FL studio, of course).

Cheers

hope... yea

It was good, i was hoping for some kind of key change or something and it just never happened... This song could be really good with lots more work, though.

SFaPiL2 responds:

I reheard my song this morning and totally agree with you. It seemed like a build-up to something... but in the end it just rushes to a fade-away conclusion. (I just couldn't come up with anything else :oP)

Thank you for the honest review :o)

if you so desire: flame flame flame flame flame...

just kidding. it's great. now that i think about it, it does sound like a great song for eating strawberries. strawberries are so good, and so is this song! i like it, but it's short and feels incomplete or something. 9/10, for having a respectable purpose behind this song.

SFaPiL2 responds:

Lol... thanks for the kind words and score ^__^.

Yeah, I get what you mean with incomplete. It's just that:

A) I have demo version FL so I can't save projects

B) I have a limited concentration span with FL studio of about 4 hours after which I say "screw it..." and do something else to avoid a splitting headache.
