great <3
I've lived on a reserve for over half my life, (with no first nations decent what so ever) so after reading Thompson Highway's 'The Rez Sisters', I was inspired to draw his character; Nanabush in its' Nighthawk form in a traditional First Nation's dancer uniform. (mostly a mix of western-native-american styles)
The character itself is a genderless being, able to shapeshift into various forms, so to create the feel of androgyny, I drew Nanabush with feminine hands, and muscular, masculine legs.
Drawn with Adobe Photoshop CS3 using a WACOM pen tablet.
great <3
i dropped my jaw.
this is an amazing picture, and for a moment, i thought YOU were the artist to Bird-Boy, i comic i have recently enjoyed.
Coincidence?
It's funny because is raining outside...
Great piece!
I have been following your art for a while now (and on deviant.art), and I must say that this is one (although older) of my favorite pieces. I like the lighting, the sharp lines of the mask in contrast to the softer lines of the clothing and skin. I would like to see more Native art from you! :)
Poke'mon
Looks like a XATU.
I like Xatus.
I like Natu. He's like a native-american Pidgey.
