Missed opportunity for “KAWfee time”. XD
I picked up silk screening recently!
It's so much harder than I figured it would be! lol
Every step of the way had potential to ruin the whole project hahah
I actually had to re-expose the screen from scratch since my first attempt was so messy!
This little print run was a BIT ambitious since I'm a novice printer. All this time, I've only printed my work digitally!
I rented a shared studio space for the week, bought 50 tote bags, stocked up on silk screen inks, measured out my design, prepped my screen, etc! After a whole week in the studio, I'm happy to share my progress. There were definitely more than a couple failed tote prints -- especially because there is a print on BOTH sides, but I managed to save them somewhat. The other artists working in the space were so helpful and supportive with trouble-shooting potential problems. I'm so relieved it all worked out!
Now that I'm done, the tote bags have been individually numbered, heat treated, tagged with a freebie sticker, and they're ready for my Etsy store + upcoming conventions!
Not sure when I'll have a whole week off consecutively to do this again, so I don't know that I'll re-stock these any time soon. If you'd like to support my work, consider visiting my Etsy shop this coming Sunday to snap one up!
I'll leave a link but the store is on vacation mode right now [Sabtastic on Etsy]

Looks cool, wish I could buy it...
If the coffee won’t perk you up, the squawking will!
Not only it looks adorable, but it looks so stunning. Beautiful work once more!
I love this bag, it's so cute! :3
