Reviews for "bite your rhymes"

cool

not bad man in fact i like it, i dont think you had any trouble potraying it as a daydream keep up the good work and i know it was a test but i wouldnt mind seeing more of that character in a series perhaps

Vermspiracy responds:

hey thanks. most of the stuff I post here is mainly for you guys and those who dig the vibe (old man speak) If I can think up any more scenarios for Sol (the name of the main character) I'll get to work on them

Its original I will give you that...

It's pretty good but it needs a story line.

Dark, twisted, impressive...

I've watched many movies go through the flash portal, and many movies come and go from the front page, and, honestly, this is one of the few that I've seen that deserve to be up on the front page, and to stay there for a long time.

The graphics were very well done, to say the least. The drawing style was somewhat angular and simple, and worked very well with the simple, dark colors you used. A note to flash artists, you don't need excessive details in your color and art to convey what you wish to say or make in your animation, and this flash proves it. It's well done, but it is kept simple enough that it has a nice, small filesize, even with a fair quality audio file included.

The music... I was suprised when I saw the title. I was thinking "oh fuck, some kid probably made some horrible video set to an MSI song, and a bunch of the idiots who usually write blam reviews somehow liked it, and praised it enough to get it to the front page." But, when I watched it, I was suprised to see a video that did justice to the music. Sure, the audio quality was less than perfect, but much better than most flash animations with audio included. I can't honestly say that MSI is my favorite group, since I have no true favorite, but I do respect their music, it's some great shit! You did for a very underrated group what most flash artists couldn't do for any group; do some real justice to their music.

And, as far as these kids who were thrashing and blamming your work go... How come I can guess that most of them are the kids who make a shitty flash movie that has some stupid picture(s) of "ugly people", and print only with large fonts, often making spelling mistakes that a child with a third grade education should have been able to correct, claiming that "*insert name here* is a fag!" just because they don't like the kid, and need to bolster their fragile egos by trying to insult them with a badly made flash.

Honestly, we need more flash like this on NG. I beleive there is some symbolism connected between the main character, and your choice of music. MSI is the music of the underground, society's disenfranchised and unpopular, which is what the main character represented. And, it was defenitely nice to see someone make a semi-serious flash with some dark humor, and made a point for the underdog to kick some ass, instead of the usual "big guy kicks the crap out of the little unpopular kid because he's a fag" bullshit that goes through the portal every day. I don't know if that is even close to right, but that's how I viewed it.

Anyways, I obviously ramble on, so I should put a stop to this review soon, lest I run out of room. Well, as a conclusionary note, keep making work like this when you get the time and energy to make more flash. You have talent, and I really appreciate your dark style and sense of humor. We really need more flash artists like you, and less of the immature kiddies that keep flooding the portal with their childish hate flash productions.

Great

Absolutely brilliant, could of been its music video it matched it so well, the song was a bit jumbled at the beggingng though. other than that excellent.
