Reviews for "BentTV: Crack Iraq's Back"

Not bad

Definitely a positive switch from all the warmongoring neanderthals that make most of the "war on terror" shit on this site. At least you appear to be trying to look at both sides of the issue.

Good Flash, Myopic Views

This was a great Flash animation in the sense of graphics, sound quality and synching, and loads of content. Hurray hurrah.

As for the political slandering of Bush and the War on Iraq, I feel you are very short-sighted and close-minded on what is gong on.

-Yes, Bush wants to secure the oil. Yes, we will probably American-ize Iraq to some degree. Yes, Bush isn't the brightest of humans. However, to refuse to see that Saddam Hussein is a danger to his own people, let alone the world, is hypocritical. You claim those of us in support of the war are War Hawks and Bush Lovers? Fine. Just realize that at the same time *your* seemingly unalterable anti-war and anti-Bush views are identical, if on the opposite end of the political spectrum.

-I read through some of your responses to other reviewers and got a sense of you being pro-Saddam. Where one person would state he killed hundreds of thousands of his own people, you would give a mocking retort as though it was complete nonsense. Did you miss the news when they uncovered the building filled with dead bodies? How about when Saddam's Republican Guard forced Iraqi troops to fight by threatening them with death? Perhaps you should be careful the way you word your responses on sensitive issues like these.

-Finally, I'd like to say that I am perturbed at the number of reviewers who are anti-American. I saw numerous "Fuck America" comments as I sifted through the reviews, which angered me a great deal. I wonder how many of them *are* Americans and how many of those that *are* American realize what they are saying. True, this wasn't the most patriotic and valorious war. But this war was not an act of tyranny. Rather, it saved many people *from* tyranny. The majority of the Middle East hates America, Iraq being no exception. What if Saddam had gotten his hands on means to deliver a nuclear or chemical weapon to your city or town? What about all those Iraqi civillians under the shadow of Saddam's rule? What about other countries even closer to Iraq?

Think before you blindly slander what has potential to be good.

pyropymp responds:

You obviously misunderstood my responses, whether you did it purposely or not I don't care, but I don't like you saying my views are "myopic" when you misinterpret my viewpoints in the first place.

I totally agree that Saddam needs to be taken out for all the reasons you (and most Bush supporters) stated. I am not saying war isn't inevitable, but the timing and justification of this war is uncalled for.

I will not argue Saddam's evil, I know he needs to be taken out, but not in this manner, and not in this timing, and most certainly NOT with the current "justification". Besides, things today are much more complex than good vs. evil... You saying that I'm seemingly pro-Saddam just further perpetuated the close-mindedness of the simplistic Bushist propaganda.

Bush's main justification for this war is the alleged WMD, which has so far been a few barrels of pesticides. Any traces or remnants of such WMD (if at all) will either be supplied by the US in the first place, or planted there by the CIA as a last resort to save face... which is not at all surprising since CIA is already known to have sabotaged weapons inspection (http://news.independent.co.uk/world/politics/story.jsp?story=378163)

If Saddam was in such peril, would he not have used such weapons on the coalition troops already? Why do you think Saddam could barely put up a fight in this war? Could it because he HAD ABSOLUTE SQUAT?

The current US patriotism under the Bush admin is born out of hypocrisy and greed, and its notions of foreign policy and democracy is essentially defunct, if you think for a split second about WHY the majority of Middle East hates America, WHY there is tyrants like Saddam, and WHY there are scares about WMD, you'll know why many people from around the world was opposed to this war.

ehhh its ok

this movie was kinda slow paced and the humor wasnt that great but the sound was, whoever did the voice of the pres did a good job but the movie was kinda boring
