With great power comes great responsibility. Those with much have much expected of them. Never in the history of the world has a Nation, America, had so much power and abused it so little. By they way the US did not put Saddam in power the US added him in the 80's during the Iranian conflict. At the time saddam was the lesser of 2 evils. It was a mistake and because of that our policies are different now. When you say "above the law" I think you need to take into account the inaffectiveness of the UN. The UN has severe problems in its current structure.

Thanks again.

US has great power, but its actions so far is hardly responsible... US has dirt all over the world, and you wonder why there is a general distaste for "Americans" whenever mentioned in other nations. What you are saying about Saddam is just another way of saying US is still responsible for his being in power in the first place. People don't protest this war for nothing, and they certainly don't protest is US really abused "so little" of international law.

OK thomas heres me review.

What makes Bush so different from Saddam?
1. Bush didnt kill over 400,000 thousand of own people by using chemical weapons on them.
2. Saddam violated all 17 UN resolutions against him and did so 77 times.
3. Saddam horded the money given to him through the oil-for-food programs thus starving his own people.
4. Saddam is a dictator.

Why is it "inappropriate" to slam Bush?
1. Hey its America, not Saddam-Iraq, you can slam Bush if you want to. That doesnt mean everyone has to like you for slamming him. Also it depends on how you digree with Bush. Personal attacks on Bush (ie. He is stupid, cochead, oil fiend, war mongerer) will only show your personal bias and turn alot of people off. If you debated his political and deplomatic stratagies then maybe you would be recieved better.

Why is it okay to have tons of flashes on NG dedicated to killing/humiliating Saddam (not that he doesn't deserve it) while slamming Bush for this war is not?

1. I don't know if your a US citizen but Our young Men and Women have died for this war. This is not Bushes war its all of ours. You can slam him, this war, our nation if you like. It doesnt mean I have to or anyone else has to agree with you.

Ok well thats it from me. I think your a great flash animator. Keep up the good work, reguardless of your political views. By The Way I will be sending you a 5 page essay about the war in Iraq. Maybe it will let you see things as I do 8).

pyropymp responds:

I never wanted everyone to agree with my views, but I want them to think critically before they speak. Saddam needs to go down for the exact reasons you stated, but on a bigger picture, US, throughout history as a self-proclaimed world-police "above the law", has done things equally bad, if not worse, than Saddam. Remember US put Saddam in power in the first place. I will be looking forward to your essay.
