Quinton Terrintino (creator of KILL BILL) would be proud. it sounds classical, but with an edgy remix. Hope there's more of this in the game!
I'm very impressed
The drum loop reminds me of the beginning of various modern progressive songs (IE: Porcupine Tree's earlier works, such as stuff off of "On The Sunday of Life") The violins make a very medieval effect which will do well with the game itself. It's has a very addictive riff, which brings into a build up, pulling the user in.
Now, why would this be used for video games? Because it's a loop. However, unlike most video game songs, this one most likely could be expanded into a further piece of work. Add a blues based guitar, some harmonic vocals, and you might have a hit right there. Too bad that Nobuo Uematsu couldn't understand this when he made "The Black Mages", a band in which covers Final Fantasy based songs, which were only made for loops. This is just my imagination talking though. As it stands, I don't think it needs any editing from what it is to be probably one of the more memorable video game loops.
I wouldn't consider this hip hop really, considering it's not a piece of shit, nor can I see the vocals following it.
