I got to level 14 and 100k total points before quiting. It's a really fun game. Keep at it.

Excellent piece of work

Very original concept here. Kinda reminds me of a Starcraft or Warcraft custom scenario.

The Art definatly needs some work so I hope thats something you fix in the final version. Sicky men and a very basic castle arent so impressive... I don't think a bunch of skinny men banging at a door with their fists could take down a castle hehe. Maybe some sort of soldier graphic with swords.

It would be cool if you added a bit more strategy to the game. Like maybe add more units and let the player position them where he wishes. Cannons would be cool, and maybe a pot of burning oil above the door, lol.

Awesome!! Can't wait for more!!

This is by far one of the most fun and addicting games I've ever played here at Newgrounds, and it also has the most potential. So much can be done with this already awesome game. I could seriously see this getting developed commercially by a professional house.

Areas for expansion/improvement:

*Graph ics (eventually. amazingly fun even with just sticks)

*Sound (could use some music, though nothing -too- repetitive, as well as some more sound effects. Maybe a noise of protest for when an enemy gets grabbed, and a larger variety of death sounds. Noises for the archers would be cool, too, and maybe a sound for the men falling (although that might get annoying as well))

*Unit Variety (I can see from the post-level screen that you already have plans for at least two other kinds of units. Foot soldiers would be a nice addition to that arsenal. The could charge from the portcullis and do a sallying charge. You would lose a number of them before they could return, and maybe in exchange, your defenses would be more vulnerable to attack)

*Upgrades (a la Warcraft. you need something other than repairs and fortifications to spend your points on after you've bought all the troop generators. One or two upgrades per unit type to increase their efficacy would be nice. Also, there should probably be an upper limit on your armor that increases every level or every few levels.)

*Enemies (more types! make them faster as the levels increase, but don't -just- make them faster! *grin*)

*Title (Barbarians at the Gate, perhaps?)

Anyway, best of luck. I love this game. Can't wait to see the full version, and the sequel, and the sequel after that...

oooh...the sequel could be from the other side of the conflict...you could call it...Siege Engine!

Outstanding game, masterfully done!

I must say that this game is quite entertaining and very good indeed. However, it does not reach as far to surpass its predecessor, Stick RPG. It is, nontheless, an incredible new game and very creative. The idea of defending your castle by picking the enemies up and tossing them about is interesting and fun, as well as the extra archers used as back-up on the more difficult levels. Your style is great, and graphics and sounds you could work on a little. Find some music to fit this medieval theme, and maybe add more medieval enemies such as guys with hammers, ballistas, catapults, footmen, and such. Maybe you could make it so you could train converts to be footmen that could guard the door and fight from below the fort. Otherwise, great idea, cant wait to see the full thing and be able to use the other types of allies like wizards and craftsmen. Keep up this excellent work, your flash gaming skills are wonderful! Dont ever quit submitting this kind of work to Newgrounds!
