This is excellent!
This is a great demo. I played it for two hours. Given the incredibly small size of the game it is just plain amazing. I killed 6000 sticks and had 30,000 health points by the end. 120 archers. I like the wealth point system that you are using, it adds another element to the game that improves it immeasurably. I hope you have some really great changes in store. The wizards should be pretty cool when they get added in. I can just picture them lighting sticks on fire or frying them with lightning or causing a brief blizzard to slow down advancing units. The number of wizards you have can affect the power or duration of the spells cast. Additionally, the enemy could make use of Shamans or whatever, assuming they are primitive (Their greatest weapon is the log) and there could be cool, bad graphics, magical duels. I am also excited by the prospect of using engineers. They could build and maintain catapults or ballistas to counter enemy siege towers and whatnot. Archers themselves are fine the way they are, though given the amount of stuff one might have to manage I'm assuming that they would do more so that you don't need to spend as much time hurtling opponents around(unless you want to). Vats of boiling oil would be cool. Maybe you can add a few more death animations specific to how they die. An arrow can pierce a guy's head, or a guy could get struck by lightning and sizzle. Maybe you could add ramparts to the castle so archers can line up along them. This game has so many possibilities it is positively mind-boggling. Two things I didn't like: Counting the points takes way too long. I think there should be an option to skip it by clicking a button. The other thing is that there are no animations or pictures for when you win or lose. You should be able to win this game instead of just playing it until you get bored or die. At least let us see a burning castle or fleeing soldiers. A plot and background would be nice, but not really needed. Thanks for giving us a great game!
