WOAH the visuals on this are great!

lets go

Awesome work! Spoilers and such below, so don't read unless you've played.

Really enjoyed the story and writing, especially Bishop's dialog. I also appreciate the character diversity and designs. The idle animations make it look like everyone is chilling at a silent disco, which suites the ambient soundtrack, lol. Speaking of, I really liked all the music in the game. The puzzles and stuff were also cool, especially the one with the tv and public domain television footage. And the intro and exit cut-scenes were also very impressive, they must have taken an insane amount of time to put together.

On a technical level, I like the custom WebGL template and persistence of progress on page reload, super-convenient. I accidentally refreshed the page at one point and was afraid I would have to start again, but no. It is also really nice how dialog progression is tied to the speed you can click through it, rather then having some annoying text animation.

A few things bothered me, and I mention this not because they ruined the experience, but just in case you want some feedback.

I was attacked in dialog a couple times, which felt odd - usually in these types of games the characters are in safe rooms. Triggering a characters "Color Up" animation seems to de-aggro attackers (correct me if I'm wrong), but starting dialog does not.

I also feel like health should be restored at the start of each chapter - otherwise the smart thing to do as a player is just go and immediately die and get your health back.

Finally, it would be better if the item tool-bar was always open rather then accessible through the plus button. It was a little awkward to navigate that interaction when being attacked, and since you can only hold eight items at once, there should be enough space for it without obscuring too much of the game window.

Anyway, all in all, awesome work! Super enjoyable project. Very impressive how many people were able to work together on this and still produce such a cohesive final product!

Pomegranite responds:

Thanks for the awesome review! I was able to fix some of the issues you had mentioned (the enemies not attacking when talking to a resident or watching a resident intro). Thanks for playing and enjoying the game!

Looking good! I cant finish the game though, when i find the remote and turn on the tv i cant close it and go back to playing, the television covers the entire screen and there's no way to remove it

SamDrawsStuff responds:

Oh, I will tell pomegranate that has been one of the biggest problems we had with tv

cant get through the bushes in the garden

WillsRandomArtwork responds:

It's zig-zags through the bushes to get through them, I had a little trouble at first as well.
