dude...
I loved how you did something that I did. You went up the minor scale just like halo. But way cooler. AND you should flog yourself for making us wait for the song. Ive been searching and I thought it just got lost. Anyway... Killer job

I would type a longer response but I'm in the midst of flogging myself as we speak.
Thanks for the review!
This is a very nice song!
I am a big fan of Madness and this is a great Madness song!

This is still my favorite madness tune.
This has been on my mp3 player for a year, I guess I should say something.
More than most of the music I find her at newgrounds, this tune tells the story. It drags me, kicking and screaming, through all of Hank's pain every time I hear it.
Using an imitation of a steam engine sound for the baseline was pure genius, and the way it gets harder and more ragged in spots, then calms down a bit, then drags me back through the blades is a wonderful ride all the way through. I am genuinely hoping that in some perfect future, you, Evil-Dog, and ParagonX9 can get together and produce something epic. The three of you being nearly all of the the reason I bother to download music off of Newgrounds.
I hope you can work more things like the steam engine into your music. I think that using that effect as your drive through the piece brought out a lot of the glory of it. It takes it from being just a tune that was selected for a spot, to being one that was made for it. Attention to detail like that separates the good from the great. In my opinion, anyway. Slow motion helicopter blades, a warning klaxon, hoof beats, there are all kinds of things I can think of that would work.
All that said, my own creative talents tend to be with the written word, and thus I can only stand on the outside looking in here at newgrounds, where my own efforts would pale in comparison to the audio and visual maelstroms that the greats here can produce.
Wonderful work. Please don't stop.
This shit is epic
