Really cool idea and aesthetic, core gameplay loop is very interesting, graphics on point. Couldn't expect too much better from 72 hours, but I wish it had more polish still.
I agree with everyone that said you start too weak- with your speed and attack strength, when you run into the level-eating enemies you can't hope to deal with all of them, and with the overall rhythm of the breakdowns, you can't properly upgrade yourself and get re-minders, it feels like even if you play perfectly you still lose.
(EDIT): ok, I see what you mean about easy upgrades making you too powerful. got a huge sword in a run where I lucked out with few level eaters at the beggining. High score 523.

Solid! Love the concept. Very addicting, just kinda finicky. Feels like you start too slow. Dash is pretty unreliable, but I'm not sure what's causing it. Overall, good work.
