Great little 2D shooter for its reasonable challenge and satisfying character progression elements, but controls are annoying.
It's basically a twin stick shooter, except it's missing one of the sticks, leading to a complicated system of repositioning yourself every time you have to aim a different direction. Also, sometimes my character would just stop moving and I'd have to jerk the mouse around quickly to get him to respond, often not in time for the enemies or their attack spells to pass over me, leading to dozen or so undeserved deaths. I'm not certain this is the game's fault, but I haven't noticed this problem in the three or four years I've been using this computer or the several months I've been using this mouse.
The thing I found most satisfying here was the integration of core gameplay and character progression. I'd like to see a full on RPG like this where you play a wizard with a grand total of one spell, but that spell can be cast infinitely and customized to a ridiculous extent. But obviously, without the square-wheel variation of TSS controls.
