Reviews for "[BTNverse] Curse of the eastern god"

...I didn't know that that's how video game characters talk about players. I was honestly surprised at the ending, but in a good way. I liked this game a lot, except for the hat section. I wasn't too fond of that. Over all though, good game.

adriendittrick responds:

yes, the hat section was a TAD trollish.
Glad you went to the end!

"YOUR WASTING OUR TIME"

i'Ve cOMe tO BaRGaIN.

4.5/5 would annoy again.

adriendittrick responds:

most of my games have a local god that you can annoy as much as you want :p

Really fun game, interesting experience after playing through your nothing/something duo. Sorta hoping trying to hop back onto the game after the SUPER SECRET ENDING would've *maybe* caused something to happen, but eh, can't win em all I suppose. Great work, short and sweet, and just ever so mildly frustrating with a juicy ending. Well done!

adriendittrick responds:

Congrats on reaching the end and sorry for the frustration :)

A nice game, but tricked me into thinking I got softlocked a few times. For anyone who was in my situation try to go West (Left) and an event will be triggered.

adriendittrick responds:

Ah, so THAT is what everyone was talking about in the comments below X)

This game... is absolutely amazing. The game's story is amazing. The controls are simple. And I love how at first you were the sacrifice, then you become God. Now, sadly, the game becomes repetitive at the end. Very... repetitive. Now, you see, if you added something at the end of it, it might have rewarded the player for sticking by them till the end of the show. Here's a suggestion, add an option to "Kill" or "Spare" the Gods. Maybe the "Spare" option would give you a good ending, the Gods remove your blessing, because who really wants to be immortal, and let you finally rest. Or the "Kill" option could lead you to be the same worlds God. Then someone wanders into the place where the Gods start talking and then the game would roll credits.
Listen, I'm just saying, reward the player a bit more. After dying a billion times, you would want something more than a wall of text and the game closing to a game page.
This review isn't meant to upset you and/or provoke you to stop developing and making games. If this review did those things to you, I am sorry.

adriendittrick responds:

Eh I'm not trying to be undertale though, so kill/spare aren't options :p

Besides in my gamedev lore you can't really kill a god anyway.

The only options are stop harrassing them or continue harrassing them until they give up :p

Also don't worry you make a valid point and I don't feel provoked X) I was just trying to make a memorable AND frustrating experience, which includes the ending.
