Fun game
well done but i hate it already...it is not your game..itis me. story was interesting enough to even give this kind of game (which i hate to no end) a chance :)

Wohoo, this is the kind of game I nostalgicly assume to be newgrounds/kongregate/etc. exclusive. Rather Short, Quite Challanging, many concepts, near flawless execution.
I'm not much for corky dialogue, but that's completely taste-related. Frustration Potential vs. actual challange balance I feel is fine, too, although I don't get frustrated at all, because you adapted the quick-death quick-respawn mechanic. I remember when SMB did it, and I was so happy because the frustration-factor of dying was extremely connected to the wait time to the next try.
4.5/5 because you really could work on those dialogue-boxes a little ;P (the way box and text look, not the dialogue itself). They look a little out of place, smoothen some edges.
Edit: Little Note: The Hitdetection on those Slimes when you jump on them doesn't seem entirely accurate. Like, when you jump on either half of the creature you seem to fall through.

Btw, could it be that your browser zoom was different than default(100%)?It affects the pixels precision. Otherwise, the dialogue font seems fine to me, compared to bigger problems this game has (I've got a bunch of bufixes in queue atm...)
I'll try to work on better collisions with the slimes, I've experienced that too
A little reminder for everyone bugged by that sassy ghost:
Dialogues can be turned off at any moments, pause-->menu-->dialogues(off)-->continue, it won't affect the very last level's dialogues
