Nice Yume Nikki/Undertale inspiration, but I find it pretty boring.

kind of heavy-handed, definitely nothing that hasn't been done before and explored in more depth. other people point out the similarities to Yume Nikki, and rightfully so, but at least in Yume Nikki, we can see some indication of just how sick Madotsuki is. as far as i can tell, this guy is just kind of a shut-in loser. also, one pizza box on the floor is an epidemic? please, it's not a problem until you have to start walking around the piles of it.
walk speed is too slow, too.

Hi! Yume Nikki was indeed one of the inspirations for this, but we wanted to go with a more realistic approach just based on our own personal experiences (thus, sadly, no portals to other dimensions)
the walk speed was a choice we went with to give it that "fatigued" feeling
as for the pizza box, thank you for pointing that out!
initially we had 3 more empty pizza boxes piled around, but the idea of having too many empty pizza-less pizza boxes was too heartbreaking and hard even for us to bear, so we just went with one (1) box
it was aight, but not great.. I get the message it just isn't really a game
I hate that there are people who consider this meaningful art. Art is decent, code is bug-free, no memory leaks; 1 and a half stars. Zero for concept, mechanics, and content.
some meaning there are, but i didn't enjoy this game too much as i expected before playing
