takes me back to the good ol' days of mario... but a poorly executed version at that. Art is cute but could be better. Gameplay is simple and I easily got bored

Poorly executed? How so? I thought it was pretty spot on for Super Mario World. Simple is good.
I dont think this game is such a good game I think you can do alot better with the animations and graphics also I keep glitching out of map and falling for ever so theres that! you should try alot harder! is my suggestion !
It looks good (I like the artwork and it certainly has potential), but there are a lot of bugs already in the 1st level, from dropping through platforms, disappearing/dropping off screen, spontaneously loosing the "weapon", invisible walls ... et cetera

Hm. I’ve never noticed any of those. Weapons are also limited.
it is simplistic but it is fun. collecting coins is always a simple game objective that makes the game enjoyable. looks like some good work was put into this. well done givin this one a 5

Thanks for the review! Unlike Mario, the Coins are actually money you can spend once you meet Dave The Yeti and buy items for your inventory. A touch of RPG in there! :)
