Nice.
Stunning, Maestro, to say the least. and what great to accompany a great piece but with what I do best at times, storytelling!
before i whisk my quill I would like to add, the story I made to accompany your piece "these games we play" has actually been created into a full story I have added to the Cage of Dreams. Bravo on the piece.
anyway, this battle reaches me in an equally epic, but more outlandish way.
The rivals meet each other at the front, two teams, once mercenaries who had scuffled long ago, are meeting at the end to settle the score. the Red mercenary leader draws his blade, followed by his comrade's staff, bow, and axe, ready to face their rivals. the Blue mercenary raises her mace followed by her comrade's polearm, spear, and warhammer. the eight mighty warriors charge each other, at times fighting alone and at times teamed with their fellow fighters, all in a great attempt to best the other. in midst their fighting they begin to see themselves and each other, what their lives had been before, and are now, due to the rivalry. but a bitter war had sent these eight against each other only to find they had been fighting for those whose views conflicted theirs. upon the defeat of the Blue leader, the other three blue arms stood with a propsition for the reds, followed by their leader.
in time, the eight no longer harbored such bitterness, and the rivalry ends, bringing the warriors together and strengthening their ties to each other.
