Reviews for "Stick Fighter RPG"

i love this game, goes a little repetitive over time but it was really entertaining to play taking a solid combat system from darksouls, just one little complain, while running, if you stop suddently, the character keeps moving for a while but without any animations, so it looks like you are in ice all the time,a slide animation for that should fix it but again, just a little complain, awesome game dude

ExtinctionGames responds:

Thanks for that feedback. It's good to see thought out comments like that.

Alright so im gonna start by saying the dark soulness of it is amazing it has that dueling hit-dodge-hit feel and it is good
Moving to important part

I feel weapons arent balanced dual wield is just this hypermobile damage train with gapclosing speed and combo while the other option dont really offer anything in return therefore balance of weapons needs attention

As mentioned by others progress is unseen and that hurts the game as a whole a storyline of some form would be good to focus on as soon as possible and item stats should be presented in the equipment selection as well as requirements for next unlocks

Survival is fairly brutal it went from 3 easy wins to tough number 4 to impossible number 5 and it offers nothing better than adventure for the time taken unless looking for a challenge.

Overral the core mechanics are wonderful the game is smooth and everything works it feels good to play it just doesnt feel good to look at how far you got. I havent played more than half an hour or so unlocking only pete and 1 of every traveler weapon type so take all of this with a grain of salt.

Therefore a 4/5

ExtinctionGames responds:

I'm glad you've enjoyed it. I do appreciate the feedback. This is the sort of stuff I can consider when making games in the future.

The game concept is good, A mysterious man surviving in a mysterious island that has been ravaged by a endless war. The fighting physics and controls are great, But I wanted to expect a story among this. Not a game all about fighting and surviving, I wanted to see our protagonist chase after an antagonist through a series of battles. Still a great game otherwise, Keep up the good work!

ExtinctionGames responds:

Not a bad idea. Thanks for the feedback

Good game for people who like grinding, and fighting games. The the only problem I've come across is the arsenal. The candle won't go away for some of the armors, and I unlocked a shield twice, but all it shows in the 'Off hand' section is a dim candle and no new shield

ExtinctionGames responds:

I'm glad your liking it.
The problem you have encountered is probably that you have unlocked a new dual wield off hand weapon. The off hand menu changes to the DW version when you have a DW weapon equipped which will allow you to see the new weapon or shield. Or if you are using DW then you may need to switch to 1h to have a look. I probably could have made this more simple but it is done now.

I've played only the tutorial and 3 single days so far.
What makes me not keep playing are the controls.
I have an european keyboard where the z and the y keys are switched, so to alter between attacking, dodging and using the finishing move, I have to stretch my left hand to an uncomfortable position over my keyboard. Sadly I didn't find any way to rebind the keys in the menu, which is a common thing in many games. If you could implement that in the next update, I might pick up my journey again. Until then I'd rather not stretch my hand like that. I prefer using a & d anyway, so that would work too, then.

However, the graphics, music, athmosphere and comat are good, so this ain't a bad review here
