Reviews for "Voltaic Triple-Gun (C3 Jam)"

Very cool concept and good execution, and I'd definitely recommend continuing this into a bigger game.
Fixes:
-Work on the collisions a little, because getting your corner stuck on a wall can be a little annoying.
-When you die, the bullets stay where they were when you died, which can be especially bad if you died in a really rough spot. Maybe respawn with any bullets you'd already collected (minus any you'd put in the holders).
-I think I broke the game a little while I was in the last level by getting killed by two of the green enemies at the same time. I respawned as two players.
-If you die while pulling a bullet toward you, it will continue going in that direction, which can make it end up in a far away dangerous corner.

Awesome, you found some issues that I hadn't noticed before. I was aware of the collision stuff, but hadn't thought much about your other points. Never ran into the two players bug before, lol. I'll certainly be tuning things if I continue on with this one. Thanks for the feedback!

Interesting and original game. Complex mechanics, I somehow completed the game without fully understanding them, just trying what works on each block that stood in the way. If there were more and harder levels perhaps it would force me to remember mechanics properly.

Enemies are often too difficult to avoid especially in 3rd level. In most cases I just kamikazed in them and next time they were gone. After clearing level by kamikaze attacks the 3rd level was much easier then 2nd. I think this was not a good way to make it. It would have been better if avoiding enemies was easier but enemies respawned together with your ship so player had to complete level properly.

Aside from balancing out how enemies work this game could also be longer to deserve a higher score. 3 levels is really short and first level is basically just a tutorial.

Hey, thanks for taking the time to review and give feedback! You're right, the game needs a lot of polishing. I'm picking away at another version as I have time. This version is very short because I was running up against the Game Jam deadline.

no se como avansar se me vugeo ay algo que no puedo "romper"
y creo que me tienen que apareceser 3 ruvys verdes.
pero me aparecen 2 nomas.
le daria una estrella pero como es original 3.5
esa es mi puntuacion.

This might be a good game, but I have absolutely no idea how i'm supposed to get out of the tutorial after picking up the second bullet.

ValettusGD responds:

Thanks for the feedback! I may need to communicate that better, though I meant it to be something of a puzzle.
If you quickly shoot two white-grey walls it creates a beam (though I got another report that this doesn't always work, so that may have happened to you). Dashing through that beam gives you a power-up. With the power-up, dashing into a shielded block will break the shield.
