Reviews for "Make it Rain"

:D

Sad story. But the music sounds great. I can use it for my RPG games.

Pleasing to the ear

Wow, this piece is wonderful. It is so mournful and sad, it makes my heart ache, but I love it. Where to begin?

Lets see, the light piano in the background of the song reminds me of water droplets falling from something into a pool. It is the perfect background for such a song. You used the proper key for the strings to make them work. The slow, deep notes of the cello really set the stage for the rest of the song. The rest of the strings just resonate sorrow and the piece is perfect.

When I listen to this piece I see almost exactly what you described in your summary. Very well done.

Thank you.

Uber

Simply, UBER, this is THEE most moving piece of music i have ever heard in my life, not just newgrounds/imeem.com, but out of EVERY music piece there is, this gets you to think, and wake up, wipe your tears away, let it all out, i dare say, this is indeed a MASTERPIECE.

Previous statement said; May i promote this by uploading this onto Imeem.com? Absolutely free, anyone can listen to it and, no joke, millions of people are on that site, and it's free, and they all listen to music posted by the OTHER millions of people who upload music to that site.

May i?

Feeling

I feel like there is so much emotion in this work, just very powerful stuff. Nice work.

wow... very moving

This is a very well composed piece. I thought that the instrument choices were very well selected for the setting. I love the piano, I'm guessing it signifies rain drops?

The mastering in my opinion was fine, although I would have leveled out the strings a bit more. Of course that's just my style, and I don't go for the most realistic thing always.

Oooh is a harp playing with the piano too? It could just be my imagination, but again, nice selection of instruments. ;)

What do you use for your orchestral sounds? I'm looking around for something nice and reasonable, currently I have Edirol Orchestral, but that doesn't supply me with any choral samples or sound shaping.

Excellent work, man. I'm sure you'll make it big one day. :)

P.S. Could you check out my new song "I Don't Need You Anymore?" I'd love to hear your opinion on it, it's some of the best work of mine.

Setu-Firestorm responds:

That's really interesting. You read exactly what I was intending through the piece.

Edirol Orchestral doesn't have any choral stuff unfortunately, and I stress yet. I'm hoping I'll be able to get my hands on a VSTi that handles that sort of thing. I already know of EastWest's Symphonic Choirs, but I don't know if I'll ever be able to get it.
