No worries; that's why we have that easy mode in, and the new hub system should make things easier on you too while still maintaining challenge for those who want it :)
Wow impressed to no end here, Looks and plays amazingly which is a big thing for me since so many platformers I've tried gave me unresponsive laggy controls but I was able to platform perfectly (Well as perfectly as I could) The instakill lava had my motivation waning towards the end until I finally found the checkpoint. The boss was interesting took me a few tries to figure out I had to escape it and it wasn't too hard after that.
The sex scenes were the best part of the game I especially like the flamer grunt's stun sex scene where he just has his hand down her pants (Basic I know) after seeing that I committed myself to playing the rest of the demo to get the rest of them. I really don't have anything negative to say maybe just try to lay off the slow moving platforms over instakill lava parts hahaha.
Good luck with the rest of the game and the 2 others you're working on, If they're anywhere close to the quality of this I'll be looking forward to their demo's.

Yeah, this is the only level with insta-kill devices; given the relative easiness of the enemy AI (future levels will have them be more complex), we wanted to have some degree of difficulty in there.
The moving platform physics will be drastically different in the new builds, no worries there :) Thanks for the faith in this and the other two games, plus the review and rating!

its a solid mega man like platformer, only thing I think you should work on in my option is the text. it's too small and it's a lot right in the beginning. I honestly don't think you have to cut it down but maybe just make the text bigger and easier to read.
also a slide kick would be cool but if the maps or bad guys aren't built around it then nevermind.

The text will be partially swapped out for cutscenes and powerups and such, and the pre-existing databank text will be compressed some in terms of density, with the text being made bigger, yep!
We have something similar to a slide kick in later builds, a fire dash, so mechanically the same thing, it just looks different visually :P
