Reviews for "Rullo"

interesting game, it gets easier as you solve it. But once you figure out the strategy, the entire game is not challenging.

Amazing music, great art style with unique yet challenging gameplay.

Excellent puzzle game, with nice music and good level of challenge. The 2-4 mode on 8 by 8 is a good challenge for anyone!

User interface is perhaps too simple. I would seriously welcome the ability to do two more things:

1. Lock cells that have been turned off. At present there is no way to mark the difference between "cells that have been turned off because I knew 100% they needed to be turned off" and "cells that I just turned off a few turns ago as part of an experiment but might need to turn back on again". This is super frustrating.
2. "Flag" cells, regardless of their on/off state. A bit like the "flag" in Minesweeper games that reminds you that that you were thinking something about this cell (how you use it tactically is up to you, but it is basically like a mental sticky note). Classic Minesweeper used the right click to do this and obviously this may not be suitable for an in-browser game. Perhaps "locking" can work on a cycle - unlocked -> locked -> flagged -> unlocked rather than the current system of unlocked -> locked -> unlocked. Since it is rare to want to unlock a cell, this ought not be a big inconveniencefor players.

Both of these additions would make the game more playable, particularly on large grids and on the 2-4 mode. Otherwise I find I need to keep separate notes about which cells I am experimenting with! The grid looks very "samey" so it is hard to keep track of experiments by memory alone.

I love it

You should seriously consider releasing this game for iPhone and Android. It's well made and exactly the type of game I like to play on my cell phone (plus, it looks like you may have already formatted it for cell phone display).

I don't know if you'd make a fortune off of a game like this, but I good easily see this getting 100,000 downloads.

I don't have any major criticism. Future versions might feature a greater variety of BGM and colors.

Great work!
