wuff, wuff...

even as a 3D anim, this is pretty lame. wouldn't make it on anyone's demo reel...

no sense of scene (like how and why are these two fighters attacking each other?); we start with a close up, but we need at least one wide shot to establish the characters and relative sizes; the stars in the background of the first fighter are much smaller than those of the second fighter (why?); when the first fighter 'evades' the laser bolts, it looks very artificial (need better control over your motion paths); in the last few frames, the second fighter suddenly slows down while its tail still visible in the scene (sloppy).

get to know your software better (especially spline control), and it might do you good to pick up some books on movie making (study the way the snow battle is setup in empire strikes back, for example)... it takes years to get 'ok' at this 3d stuff, you can't expect to convert mediocre 3d into flash and fool everybody.

Give the man some credit!

What ever you do don'yt listen to these fuckers. Your 3d work is excellent and i would like to see them try it themselves. Yes it is true that you should of made a fucking loading screen but you still are doing very very very well. If you could please email where you were able to program that please email

Really Excellent Work In All Of The Programs You Used, With The Exception Of Flash. I'm voting on the flash, not your skills at 3d gphx

WTF!

is this a flash site or a 3d studio max site, oooooh wow! 2 ships fly around a bit, I'm soooo impressed, in case you can't tell i'm being sarcastic.

Hmmm

While I find your use of 3d models interesting, I do have to agree with others around here that this is just a waste of Flash's capabilities. Flash isn't for streaming MPEG-quality video, it's for vector-based animation. You might consider using still shots for the various scenes, and then doing traditional-style 2D animation using your digitized 3d models. (ie: sprite animation -- which is a medium that still has life)
