Reviews for "Bear in Super Action Adventure"

There's an achievement for beating the toaster, but I don't think it's possible?

That aside, decent game, but could use some more variety in the later levels

EntertainmentForge responds:

It is. Just upgrade all stats and use special on him as much as possible as soon as he appears on screen. And don't move away if he come close to you and collides with you.

Fun game, but definitely needs more levels, variety, depth, etc. It's a good start. Needs to be built on.

I actually enjoyed the voiceovers and the banter between the characters. Being from Jersey myself, I found the Bear's accent quite humorous. I liked the way the game didn't feel like it took itself too seriously, freely breaking the fourth wall and all that.

Now about that toaster... After repeated attempts to kill it with full upgrades, and exhausting every strategy I could think of with movement, timing the ability shots (you never get off more than two), even not shooting him to see if he then comes back, etc, I looked up a couple of videos. And I found something curious: In videos on YouTube demonstrating killing General Toaster, he has a health bar (and goes down with less than fully-upgraded firepower). In this current version of the game, he does not. He also seems to flinch backwards more from taking damage in said videos.

Makes me wonder if the Toaster was accidentally (or deliberately?) set to invincible when the game was updated. Seems rather unsportsmanlike to make an achievement impossible to claim.

That's about it though. A properly polished sequel to this might be fun. :D

Too short and too easy. Even before grinding I was never in any danger of dying and when I did grind it didn't take long enough that it even felt like grinding. I haven't played this game long at all and I'm already maxed out.

The enemies were decently varied in look, even with the limited attack patterns possible. Visuals were pretty crisp, I never had problems figuring out what was going on. Voice acting wasn't grating for me... it was silly but that was the point. This game does seem to be voiced by just one person if the credits were correct so it could be a highlight reel for their resume; I don't really care about that. The voices were at least distinct between the bear and the bunny. The game has a personality, but doesn't take itself too seriously. The fourth-wall breaking was never so egregious to me that it felt like pandering for laughs.

@Sharpnova - The bear just sounds like a couple of guys from Queens, to me. Not sure what you were trying to say but it's probably more offensive to tell people how they'd feel about what you were going to write than even what you were going to write. Review the game, not other hypothetical players.

max all stats and i still cant get general toaster.. but yea needs more levels

How do i kill that freaking general toaster???? I'm fully maxed out but still cant beat him!! Need help plz!
