Reviews for "Pokemon Campaign"

It lags so much, holy sheet.

OrangePylon responds:

Does it? Are you playing in full screen?

EDIT: My bad, I thought this was for my other game. Try adjusting the quality settings to 'Low,' and see if that helps.

Sometimes it becomes incredibly laggy and it's not my PC. And that's a shame cause I love pokemon :/ I'm gonna rate it higher if it will work better.

OrangePylon responds:

This seems to be a problem people are having. I'll look into quality settings.

EDIT: There is now a quality control option in the top right corner. Hope you can enjoy the game now!

An interesting concept, but the fact that there was no way to evolve any of the pokemon, a staple in all pokemon games, was really annoying, moreover, the sheer amount of lag I experienced, even at the low quality setting, made the game nearly unplayable. If it wasn't for the medals, I would have quit almost immediately.

OrangePylon responds:

Thanks for the feedback. If the project were bigger in scope, I would have allowed for evolution, but it just didn't seem practical at the time given how short the game was. This project took almost three years to complete while I was going through university, so I didn't want to double my workload. If it were something commercial, or if I had a team to help me at the time, I agree that evolution would have been really cool.

And sorry about the lag. I didn't have much in the way of QA testing back then, and only realized too late that it lagged when played in a browser compared to when played in Flash.

it's a good game but when i try to move it lags and keeps moving to left for at least 5 seconds even though i pressed right and that's just an example, it is really annoying, please fix it.

OrangePylon responds:

Sorry to hear that! The lag might be exacerbated by the fact that Flash games have to run in an emulator now. Hopefully things go back to normal for Flash eventually.

Tutorial is very long, explain things that every veteran gamer know instinctively and is unsckipable. I didn't manage to listen to the end.
