Reviews for "Pokemon Campaign"

I like the concept. I actually imagined how will an open-world, real-time pokemon game look like couple of times, and thanks for making it happen. It makes me realize the problems that might occur when such game is made though.

I experienced lag in the graveyard area, and mechanism for attacking and skill change is not that smooth. Evolution feature as well as a minimap will be nice also. Other things like separate health bar and different method for capturing is better in my opinion, but I can't see how it can be implemented without overhauling the game. Overall, I really enjoyed it, and good job with the game.

OrangePylon responds:

Thank you! Yeah, those are some common complaints, but you're right -- they can't be implemented without totally redoing the engine. Maybe one day this'll catch Nintendo's attention and they can fix it.

The game was awesome but it needs some tweeking and adding
I kept going back and forth from one fast pokemon to another fast one but i haven't realy felt much diffrence
Kinda disapointed that racecar wasn't( or at least i haven't realised it) faster than pikachu-sama(idk why but today i'm supah hyped so just ignore the jokes #blamethisgameforbeingawesome XD) XD
the only boss i had a hard time dealing with was skunky( which i know it was the easiest for everyone XD) whilst the others were easy(Btw no final boss aint stronger than buizel-sama XD)
My end game team was Charmander,Pikachu,Buizel,Riolu,Racecar and Eevee-chan (just because it's sprite is so cute XD)
The game needs some stuff added in like a bigger story, some side missions, two more maps on the right(or moar :) ) and maybe evolutions for certain pokemon(and if it's not too hard for you maybe a box that holds at least 6 more pokemon in it so you can change without having to release your pokemon each time) and some others fixed like the traveling speed of certain pokemon and inside the cave (don't know if anyone else had it) pokemon were coming from inside the wall(in the middle)
But overall i enjoyed it and it was a fun little game that lasts (unfortenently cause it's awesome) abut only one hour
Also a tip to the ones aiming for the omega achievement ya gotta end the game first to get it so good luck Medal Hunters ^.^

I'm glad you enjoyed it so much! I would have loved to add more to this game, but unfortunately I am only one person, and the development time on this was already pushing three years. I had to get it out eventually.

Thanks for the review!

I loved the game, and the achievements kept me going all the time xD, in the end i got all three pseudo-legendary, Groundon, i kept Giraffarig and Charmender, propably the best team u can have.I like what you did. Simple and doesn't take any Nvidia graphic card or stuff like that. Good luck in the future!

OrangePylon responds:

Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I didn't experience lag of any sort, I thought the game was great, but how do I fight Primal Groudon? I went back to the mountain and he just sits there asleep. I tried leveling up to 10, talking to the girl/the professor, nothing!

OrangePylon responds:

Release a Pokémon, then go to back to it.

I absolutely loved this game. It reminded me of my favorite pokemon game which was Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. It gave me some nostalgia. It had a few unique things that were like Pokemon but you creatively changed. I liked that all Pokemon leveled up at the same rate. It made easier to release Pokemon and have another Pokemon join my party because I didn't have to level up my Pokemon again. My only problem was that I experienced extreme lag in Midnight Graveyard at low quality. On my final attempt to defeat Cacturne, it probably took me 10 minutes because I wouldn't be able to see where I was walking. I would get brief moments where I could walk slowly for 30 seconds but then I would have to back off from the fight and then wait for the brief moment again. Overall though, the rest of the areas weren't laggy at all, and the game was really fun. I wouldn't have tried about an hour to defeat Cacturne if the game wasn't fun so kudos, and thanks for creating an entertaining game.

OrangePylon responds:

Thanks so much, Koda! Means a lot. Grinding Pokémon always seemed like a deterrent to me for adding new members to the party, and that's why you see so many teams of Starer/Pidgeot/Nidoking/whatever in mainline Pokémon games. I thought having the trainer level up would be an interesting approach to the grinding system.
