Reviews for "Tap Heroes"

fun game and nice concept, to bad my autoclicker doesnt realy work on it but oh well migth be intendet

Not a bad go at idle... few issues though, such as the growth of the enemies far outstripping the growth of the characters meaning beyond the first few zones your always far behind. Throw in the golds very small linear growth it makes it so the best way to play the game is to stay on level 5 instant killing enemies while you level up...

Then there is some unclear things, like the rogue stun, I didn't see it explain what CS meant, I assume its centi-seconds, and if so would be so much easier just displaying as a decimal of a second like all the other timers in the game.

And some skill imbalance, for example you can't get a 100% crit rate (which would be nice) but you can get it so the rogue stun is permanent meaning the mage character in its entirety becomes redundant... the familiar damage doesnt really scale that well either again because of the enemy growth gaining 1 damage per level when enemies can double there health in a couple of levels mean its again only really any good for early farming of low levels, also its not clear what its crit chance is based on and would be nice if you could clearly influence it in some way.

All in all its a very pretty and fairly well thought out game but lacks a lot of balancing that makes it a chore to go beyond level 50ish

VaragtP responds:

Thanks for the feedback! I will see if I can tweak some things that make it more balanced! I would like to add extra "suits" or "armor" or "class" so you can upgrade the heroes and get +25% or so for ever big upgrade

Wonderful art style, it's adorable. Gameplay is very similar to clicker heroes, still enjoyed it though.

Second dragon has a ridiculous curve preventing you from going any further unless you let it run in the background for a couple days.

Tap Heroes has a great concept, but it's extremely unbalanced.
This lack of balance breaks the rhythm of the game, making it slow and repetitive.

At the beginning the "tap" in the title makes total sense since you stick together with your characters in their journey, healing and beating mobs. But after some upgrades, you can just leave your characters on their own till the bosses. Which is not bad, I mean, is cool to see your upgrades getting some results but your skills further in the game becomes basically useless, making even "tap" achievements something disconnected with the actual gameplay. Not just that but as long as you don't beat the game, your only way to get it accomplished is by getting the achievements. Which was not supposed to be something bad if you could beat it with a reasonable sense of difficult but it's not the case.

After defeating the first dragon, you're going to need an insane amount of health, attack and healing skills and after some point it just take too long to upgrade (it's really expensive) even with the banker and pet helping you.

Because of that, the game becomes instantaneously just one more background app running on your computer - and if you're not willing to spend some real money on it, I don't recommend you to download this for mobile as well.

But even with all of that, the game counts with a great background music, nice graphics and is really addicting.
With some more work it could be something really great.
