Reviews for "Symmetry"

I can barely hear the ambient music, and there are no sounds when the character jumps or when the player shifts blocks. That makes it a little boring. Also, the character isn't synced with its feet and the speed in which advances. The controls aren't great either. I believe you might have rushed a bit with this one.
HOWEVER!
The reason why I'm giving you 4 starts is because of the original concept. I absolutely loved it. Keep your ideas coming :)

Benasaurous responds:

Thanks for the feedback! I'm gonna take a little time off of making games to relax a bit and maybe reflect. But you can believe after that I will be back at it with hopefully fresh ideas and innovative concepts. Thanks again!

I thik the idea is very good. What about sound? Was I missing it? Also, think about changing space to jump and add the R key to restart. People are very used to using space to jump.

I recommend.

Benasaurous responds:

Thanks for the kind words. Unfortunately, neither of us working on the project were practiced in sound design. Both suggestions you've made have been implemented, however. Thanks again!

Symmetry is a very inventive puzzler that lives up to the possibilities its name implies. Not only are the puzzles well thought out, but they are also unexpected. Puzzle games such as this one typically follow an overused formula: Introduction, Introduce New Puzzle Element, Do 2 Puzzles With This Mechanic, Rinse and Repeat. Symmetry defies this trend by providing fresh ideas and a consistent challenge throughout. Definitely worth a playthrough.

7.5/10

(Just a note: the levels don't restart when you die. Instead they just teleport you back to where you started the level with your block changes still intact. This doesn't break the game by any means, but it can lead to some frustrating never-ending death loops, so this may be worth fixing in an update.)
