Reviews for "Symmetry"

Good puzzle, but it could save your progress.

Benasaurous responds:

Thanks for the feedback! As for the saving, I wish we could have implemented it. It was meant to be a sit down and beat it kinda game, but the saving could not have hurt I imagine.

Game is good, but the music needs to be louder.

Also, add sound effects.

cool

Was thinking there was no music at all until I read the review below. Definitely feels like it could use a little boost in volume! As for the game itself, it's great. Clever concept, with levels where the obstacle is the level itself, forming it to suit your own progress. It starts simple and takes a while before the difficulty significantly increase - when new kinds of obstacles start getting introduced, but the level of challenge feels balanced, never too much, and I like how each puzzle is contained in its own room. Good game!

When pushing a box off an edge, sometimes it falls too close to the wall, and the player has to restart the game because they can no longer move the box and solve the puzzle. This wasn't much of an issue until the very last puzzle, where I found it happening over and over again (I can tell you the specific problem places if you want). It didn't seem to be controllable whether the box would fall just slightly too close to the wall, so it just added frustration on top of the interesting puzzle-solving.

I wanted to say that first, but beyond that, I loved the game! The puzzles were original and fun. I liked that the game would let the player click and move terrain even if part of what they selected could not be moved. A lot of games I've played have had a tendency to make the player be very specific in their clicks, which doesn't add anything to the puzzle, and if anything just slows progress unnecessarily. I hope you make more puzzle games in the future!
