Reviews for "Electric War"

There wasn't that much strategy in this game, our pieces seem to move at random while the enemy (at least that's what it seems to me) has a good AI, whenever i place one of my soldiers in the battlefield they rarely kill an enemy but the opponent's pieces automatically head over to my soldiers which makes this unfair (i'm not sure if that was a feature you inputted or if i've just been having terrible luck), besides that there's also the fact that the opponent's soldier meter goes down much quicker than ours so in the time we get one soldier they're almost getting their second soldier.

It isn't impossible to win, though, i've managed to do it but it is quite random who wins or not.

DBuck-Eye responds:

Hence the 'dumb luck' portion of the description. The strategy is more about placing/holding your soldiers in the most effective way.
As for the unfairness, the blues move randomly in the same way reds do, so if they seem smarter, that's just bad luck (but to be honest, I noticed that they do always seem to have their shit together slightly more than my guys...). And the respawn timer is a function of how much of the board is red or blue, so you get guys faster with more territory.
Anyway, yes, it's more luck than strategy, but I liked that it was a different gameplay idea :)

The game is complete random... to be honest, i will prefer something you can do to in the game not just put the soldiers and watch.

DBuck-Eye responds:

Fair point, but then it wouldn't be nearly aggravating enough!

Am I missing something or is winning and loosing just a matter of luck in this game? The movement is random and I haven't yet understood how the unit "fights" work.

DBuck-Eye responds:

Well, the strategy is where you place your guys, and whether or not you hold on to them. The fights are more or less random: if a guy runs into a second guy who is running away, the second guy dies, but if he's staying put, the first guy dies.

I think the medals are not working. I played a game and even though Im not sure if I won or lost I didnt get a medal for either.

I must put some critic here, the goal is to capture the blue territory, but some description regarding controls would be very useful. While the opponent has already his men on the board, my ones are outside and how am I supposed to place them? Click them? Tried for no result. Use the keyboard? Drag & drop them? I keep just watching the blues expanding and cannot place anything on the board.

DBuck-Eye responds:

You can only place your guys in red territory, and you do that by clicking where in the red territory you want a guy to be placed. If you tried that and it didn't work, there might be a bug, and if you can send me a PM with more information, that would be great!
